Position Overview

Highly skilled and security-cleared SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) Developer to design, build, and maintain secure global trade compliance and customs solutions. In the Federal Aerospace and Defense (A&D) sector, compliance is mission critical. You will be responsible for custom ABAP development, system integration, and configuring SAP GTS to handle strict regulatory frameworks such as ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), EAR (Export Administration Regulations), and military-grade supply chain tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Secure Custom Development: Design, develop, and optimize custom ABAP programs, BAdIs, User Exits, and Adobe Forms within a highly secure SAP GTS environment (including GTS edition for SAP HANA).
  
• Defense Compliance Configuration: Configure and customize SAP GTS modules to support ITAR/EAR license management, Sanctioned Party List (SPL) screening, and complex export/import control structures.
  
• Secure System Integration: Develop and maintain secure interfaces (ALE/IDoc, RFC, secure APIs) connecting SAP GTS with SAP S/4HANA (Defense & Security) and external federal/military customs systems.
  
• Data Integrity & Security: Ensure all developments adhere to strict federal cybersecurity standards, data protection protocols, and defense-grade software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  
• Technical Analysis & Collaboration: Partner with trade compliance officers, defense program managers, and security teams to translate complex federal regulations into robust, automated technical solutions.
  
• System Maintenance: Troubleshoot complex technical issues, apply SAP security patches, and support system upgrades within classified or restricted environments.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Citizenship/Clearance: [Insert requirement, e.g., U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract constraints / Active security clearance].
  
• SAP GTS Expertise: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on development experience in SAP GTS (version 11.0 or GTS edition for SAP HANA).
  
• Advanced ABAP Skills: Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP, BAdIs, User Exits, IDocs, and RFCs within the SAP GTS landscape.
  
• A&D Industry Experience: Proven experience working within the Aerospace & Defense or Federal contracting sectors, with a strong understanding of ITAR, EAR, and Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) or similar military program compliance.
  
• ERP Integration: Solid understanding of integration points between SAP GTS and SAP ERP/S/4HANA modules, particularly Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Project Systems (PS).
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within secure cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure Government).
  
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA Defense & Security industry solution.
  
• SAP GTS Professional Certification.
