Job description

This is a remote position.

A Business Development Representative plays a pivotal role in driving a company's growth and expansion. They are responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and eventually handing off the client to an account manager. The position contributes to the strategic sales of the organization.

This role involves a combination of market research, lead generation, objective handling, negotiations, and client relationship management, all aimed at increasing revenue and market presence. Business Development Associates work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure the company's growth objectives are met effectively. This position is ideal for individuals with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are natural sales hunters.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Hitting your monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

  • Convert inbound sales leads to actively ordering customers

  • Follow the sales process throughout the entire sales pipeline

  • Developing a strong relationship between the client and the company so a successful hand-off to an account manager can take place for strategic accounts.

  • Build and maintain a health sales funnel to ensure success in current and future months

  • Diligently organized in maintaining CRM and customer records

  • Comfortable making 50+ phone calls in a given day

  • Communicate with customers via video call (Zoom), phone call, SMS, and Email

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure you are meeting the needs and expectations of your customers.

  • Perform lead generating activities to build your sales funnel.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to identify and acquire new customers within the healthcare industry.

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in healthcare organizations.

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts using Zoho tools.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams such as marketing, product development, customer support, and implementation to ensure a seamless customer experience.



Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in sales, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced sales position.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to think on your feet.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and decision-makers.

  • Highly organized and process driven

  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences effectively.

  • Proficiency in using Zoho software and other sales productivity tools.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Must have compounding pharmacy experience (at least 6 months)
