  • Review appraisal revisions, reconsiderations of value, desk reviews, and other collateral review products.
  • Partner with appraisal management companies (AMCs), operations teams, underwriters, and leadership to resolve valuation-related issues.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on appraisal guidelines, collateral risk, property eligibility, and valuation best practices.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and agency updates impacting appraisal and collateral underwriting practices.
  • Maintain production, quality, and service-level expectations while ensuring sound risk management decisions.

  • Advanced knowledge of residential appraisal methodology, valuation principles, and industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of USPAP requirements and appraisal regulatory compliance.
  • Extensive knowledge of FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, VA, and conventional appraisal guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify appraisal deficiencies, unsupported adjustments, marketability concerns, and collateral risk factors.
  • Experience reviewing complex appraisal reports, including condominiums, PUDs, rural properties, manufactured housing, investment properties, and high-balance transactions.
  • Strong understanding of property eligibility requirements, market analysis, comparable sale selection, and valuation reconciliation.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to interpret agency guidelines and apply them consistently across varying collateral scenarios.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate valuation concerns and review findings.
