Job Description

We are looking for 3 Junior Java Developers with hands-on experience working with structured databases and JSON files to join our software development team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in system development including design, implementation, and testing, with at least 1 year of relevant experience preferable in diagnostic data content creation, database/data modelling, or customer/vendor communication related to IT projects. A problem-solving mindset and ability to work with diagnostic protocols and tools are highly valued. Fluency in Japanese and a willingness to improve English communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based web applications.
  • Participate in full software development lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Create and manage automobile diagnostic data content or develop and optimize database schemas and data models (SQL, XML, JSON).
  • Collaborate with customers and overseas vendors for SW development projects, ensuring clear communication and delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with a problem resolution-oriented approach.
  • Work with diagnostic protocols such as UDS, KWP, DOIP where applicable.
  • Utilize or contribute to standards and tools related to ODX (Open Diagnostic data eXchange) and OTX (Open Test sequence eXchange).
  • Communicate effectively in Japanese (native-level speaking, listening, and writing, including technical specifications).
  • Engage in English communication and training programs to improve daily and technical English skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technologies, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related fields
  • Have 1-3 years of experience in software development involving design, implementation, and testing in Java full-stack web development
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming and working with databases.
  • Solid understanding of JSON file handling and data manipulation.
  • Problem resolution-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
  • Good English communication skills, confident in communicating and working with foreign colleagues 
  • It'd be great advantage if you have (not mandatory):
    • Combined experience in one or more of the following: automobile diagnostic data content creation, database/data model practice (SQL, XML, JSON), or customer/vendor communication for IT development.
    • Japanese communication skills
