Job description

Student Assistant - Asset Management

The ASU Outreach Hub, a suite of services in support of ASU academic units and operating enterprises related to marketing, alumni engagement, and philanthropic outreach, is seeking a Student Assistant to support the Online Student Outreach team.  This position will perform varied tasks in support of the success of paid outreach campaigns and quality brand perception.  Tasks will include assisting with the reporting of creative campaigns, uploading of creative assets to the digital asset management system (DAM), communicating to graduates for campaign, performing duties during content shoots, and additional ad hoc requests.

The Student Assistant – Asset Management supports and reports to the Sr. Creative Director. The position will require approximately 10-15 hours per week during the fall and spring semester with extended hours during the summer, spring, and winter breaks.

What you’ll do

  • Develops the skills and knowledge to upload and catalog assets in Canto, the digital asset management system.

  • Manages the brand library document by uploading all new assets for reporting

  • Assists with communication for recruiting graduates and students for content shoots, including follow up emails to past participants  

  • Develops meta data for asset tagging

  • Assists with photo/video content shoots

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of Google Drive (specifically Slides and Docs), MS Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Collaborative style, combined with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries and University business and confidential prospect information

  • Strong and collegial interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively via verbal and written communication

  • Problem solver who can take initiative and set priorities while being flexible

  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties

  • Excellent planning, highly organized, and able to handle multiple projects

  • Capable of managing several activities at the same time

Relevant qualifications

  • An Arizona State University undergraduate or graduate student. Any student with the willingness to learn is encouraged to apply.

  • Working experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Google docs

Preferred education and experience

  • An Arizona State University undergraduate or graduate student pursuing an online degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar field

Preferred skills and abilities

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
