Staff Fullstack Engineer

About the Role

We're a well-funded, AI-native Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) SaaS company building the next generation of tools for modern finance teams. Our platform helps finance professionals move beyond manual processes through automated financial models, real-time data integrations, budgeting, forecasting, and AI-powered reporting — all within familiar spreadsheet environments.

We're looking for a Staff Fullstack Engineer to help lead platform development at an early and high-impact stage. You'll partner closely with executive leadership and the broader engineering team to shape our architecture, set technical direction, and deliver software that truly matters. This is a rare opportunity to be a foundational member of a fast-growing, fully remote team operating across the US, Canada, and LATAM.

What You'll Do

• Partner with leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute on the product roadmap.

• Design, develop, and own complex features and software components end-to-end.

• Deliver robust, scalable, and thoroughly tested code across the full stack.

• Establish engineering best practices and help build the foundation for a high-performing, healthy engineering culture.

• Collaborate closely with Design and Operations teams to continuously improve the product.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers on the team.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 8+ years of software development experience.

• 3+ years of experience contributing to system design or architecture.

• Strong full-stack proficiency using TypeScript/JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend — we're targeting well-balanced full-stack engineers or those with a strong frontend/React focus.

• Solid experience with React.

• Proven track record leading platform architecture decisions and setting technical direction.

• Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence at scale.

• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery; ability to architect, deploy, and operate scalable services in a cloud environment.

• Experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale.

• Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with executives and cross-functional teams to define strategy, requirements, and deliverables.

• Comfortable working as part of a fully distributed remote team.

Nice to Have:

• Background in fintech, financial tooling, or data-intensive SaaS platforms.

• Experience with spreadsheet integrations (Excel, Google Sheets) or data pipeline tooling.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $185,000 – $240,000 USD annually

• Fully remote role with a distributed, international team

• Visa sponsorship available

Fully remote. Open to candidates based in Canada, the United States, or LATAM. Primary hiring location is Canada.
