Description:
Impresiv Health is seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to provide operational finance and financial planning and analysis support for a large academic health system.

This individual will provide operational backfill while existing members of the finance organization transition full-time to the organization’s Workday deployment.

The Financial Analyst will work across operational finance and FP&A, analyzing complex financial information, evaluating healthcare operations, and translating data into actionable insights for finance and operational leadership.

Prior financial analysis experience within a hospital or health system is required.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform financial and operational analysis in support of health-system business and financial operations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and periodic reforecasting.
  • Analyze actual financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
  • Perform variance analysis and identify underlying financial and operational drivers.
  • Develop financial models, reports, analyses, and decision-support materials.
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, labor, productivity, patient volumes, and other healthcare operating metrics.
  • Help leaders understand financial performance and identify opportunities or areas requiring attention.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial and management reports.
  • Support month-end financial activities and collaborate with accounting teams as needed.
  • Assist with business planning and the financial evaluation of operational initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, analytical models, reports, and other financial tools.
  • Validate financial data and investigate discrepancies.
  • Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to gather information and develop meaningful analyses.
  • Maintain continuity of operational finance and FP&A activities while existing team members support the Workday deployment.
  • Work effectively with financial information maintained within the organization’s current PeopleSoft environment.

  • You communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • You can identify the drivers behind budget variances, forecast changes, and operational performance.
  • You work effectively with finance, accounting, and operational leaders across an organization.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Prior financial analysis experience within a hospital or health system.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, operational finance, FP&A, decision support, or a related healthcare finance function.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial and operational data.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate financial information effectively to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • PeopleSoft financial experience.
  • Hospital or health-system FP&A experience.
  • Experience in operational finance, decision support, or service-line finance.
  • Experience analyzing hospital revenue, expenses, labor, productivity, patient volumes, or other operational performance indicators.
  • Experience with financial planning, business intelligence, data visualization, or reporting applications.
  • Advanced financial modeling and reporting capabilities.
