Senior Business Analyst

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team full-time in Romania.

About the role:

As a Senior Business Analyst, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. This project is with a global Financial Services Provider that focuses on providing responsible credit to underbanked customers in international markets. The current strategy centers on consolidating technology delivery to a single partner to drive efficiency and operational excellence. You will join the Product Engine team. This bespoke, cloud-native system manages the entire credit lifecycle. Built on a modern tech stack and cloud infrastructure, it supports hundreds of thousands of active credit card customers and is being expanded to replace legacy systems for instalment loans across multiple markets. You will join the Customer Application. The primary mobile application serves as a critical self-service tool for over 800,000 users. It is currently undergoing a technology refresh, migrating to a modern framework to improve scalability, performance, and accessibility compliance across the organization's European footprint. ​​​​​​​

Responsibilities: 

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience delivering analysis in complex, financial services environments
• Translate business needs into clear requirements and design artefacts, including low‑level designs (LLD) and stories
• Perform data flow mapping and integration design while managing cross‑functional stakeholders
• Facilitate workshops and interviews for requirements elicitation and document high-level solution designs
• Support testing activities including UAT planning, defect triage, and change impact analysis
• Conduct root cause analysis and evaluate solution options to support data-driven decision making

Requirements:

• Expert proficiency in requirements elicitation, documentation, and writing user stories with acceptance criteria
• Competent knowledge of APIs, databases, system integrations, and cloud environments (AWS)
• Strong experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and Product Operating Models
• Proficiency in using JIRA for backlog and sprint management and Confluence for knowledge management
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to non‑technical audiences
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with developers, testers, and architects

Desirable:

• Experience with DevOps tooling (Azure) and understanding of organizational operations
