Job description

We’re hiring a Clinical Product Specialist to advance the usefulness and trustworthiness of Blueprint’s AI tools for mental health professionals.

Building AI for clinicians requires more than adding clinical review at the end of the product-development process. Clinical judgment must shape how problems are defined, how systems are designed, and how quality is measured. We're looking for someone who has actually done the work—sat with a client in acute risk and decided what to do next, chosen an intervention and adjusted it when it wasn't landing, managed a full week of sessions and everything that surrounds them—and who can bring that judgment directly into how our products get built. You’ll develop evaluation methods, improve AI behavior, identify failure modes, and help teams make thoughtful clinical, product, and business trade-offs.

This is not a traditional clinical-advisory position. You’ll work hands-on with AI systems while serving as a clinical expert among clinicians, product managers, designers, and engineers. You’ll turn nuanced clinical needs into clear product requirements and measurable quality standards, then help carry solutions from an ambiguous problem through a successful release.

What you’ll own

  • Define what clinically excellent AI output looks like for the product surfaces you support, translating clinical judgment into clear standards and measurable criteria. That typically includes designing and maintaining clinical evaluation suites, including representative test cases, scoring rubrics, benchmarks, and processes for identifying regressions
  • Ground those standards in evidence-based practice and real-world care delivery, for example how a clinician actually reasons through a case, selects and sequences interventions, responds and documents risk, and what a clinician needs in order to trust and act on what the product tells them
  • Work hands-on with prompts, models, and product workflows to improve quality, analyze failure modes, and determine when solutions are ready for customers
  • Set the clinical bar for how our products handle high-acuity content and define what appropriate handling looks like in an AI-assisted workflow
  • Contribute to ambiguous clinical-product initiatives from problem definition through a shippable plan, working alongside product, engineering, design, and other stakeholders on the right trade-offs to make
  • Partner directly with customers and clinical leaders to understand their workflows and concerns, translate their needs into product requirements, and build confidence in Blueprint’s approach
  • Contribute to clinical-quality methodology and reusable practices that raise the standard of AI product development across Blueprint

Who we’re looking for

  • You’re a licensed behavioral health clinician with direct-care experience and strong clinical judgment.
  • You’re fluent in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT, and MI, and know how to select, adapt, and evaluate interventions.
  • You’ve practiced measurement-based care, using outcomes and progress data to guide treatment.
  • You have experience assessing clinical risk—including suicidality and higher-acuity presentations—and understand responsible documentation and escalation.
  • You understand how clinicians work in practice, from planning sessions and evolving treatment plans to managing caseloads and time pressure.
  • You’ve contributed to AI-enabled, digital health, or similarly technical clinical initiatives; experience with behavioral health documentation or workflows is especially valuable.
  • You’re comfortable evaluating and improving generative AI systems through prompt iteration, structured evaluation, output review, and failure-mode analysis.
  • You can translate clinical nuance into clear product requirements and measurable quality standards, partnering effectively with product managers and engineers.
  • You communicate credibly with clinical leaders and enterprise customers and explain product decisions with clarity and sound clinical reasoning.
  • You’re curious, analytical, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership amid early-stage ambiguity.

Training or applied experience in clinical research, program evaluation, or implementation science is a plus.
