Lonestar Electric Supply is looking for a Vice President of Sales for our West Texas location who will play a fundamental role in helping us achieve our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and capable of using their communication and leadership skills to work with internal and external partners successfully. Must be willing to work from our Amarillo or Lubbock offices. 

Responsibilities:

  • Hires and trains regional sales management staff.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of regional and local sales managers.
  • Handles discipline and termination of sales leadership employees in accordance with company policy. 
  • Provides leadership to the sales management team and strategic direction to executives.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determines profitability and targets, and identifies potential new markets. 
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.  
  • Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
  • Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field, or comparable record of sales leadership experience required.
  • At least ten years of sales experience required. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently. 
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
