As demand for compute and AI capabilities accelerates globally, Lambda is rapidly expanding its cloud platform, data center footprint, and strategic partnerships with enterprises, hyperscalers, and leading AI companies. Lambda’s legal team plays a critical role in enabling this growth by structuring and negotiating the agreements that power Lambda’s most important customer relationships, infrastructure partnerships, and global expansion efforts.

As Senior Counsel - Commercial, you’ll join a lean, high-impact legal team where your work will immediately shape how Lambda scales. You will partner closely with senior leaders across the company to support complex, high-value deals while helping bring additional execution capacity to a fast-moving commercial legal function. From negotiating multi-million dollar infrastructure agreements to supporting strategic enterprise partnerships, you will be directly involved in the transactions that enable Lambda to scale its AI cloud platform and support the next generation of AI innovation.

What You’ll Do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of high-value commercial agreements including customer contracts, data center service provider agreements, partner and reseller agreements, distributor arrangements, and marketing partnerships.

  • Partner with the AGC to own and manage enterprise deal negotiations.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to enable deals while ensuring appropriate legal risk management.

  • Advise on contract structure and associated risks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements.

  • Use legal technology and automation tools to streamline contracting processes, compliance tracking, and knowledge management.

  • Identify and own improvements to the team’s operations, templates, and playbooks.

  • Operate independently and provide practical, decisive guidance to our business teams that balances business objectives with legal risk.

You

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.

  • 10+ years of legal experience, with at least 3 years in-house (ideally in the technology, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS sector).

  • Extensive experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial transactions on the buy-side and sell-side.

  • Growth mindset, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks to completion within the required time frame.

  • Interest in growing your impact and responsibilities over time.

  • Team mentality with the flexibility to address unique issues in real-time and the awareness to know when to bring in others.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in infrastructure-as-a-service industry

  • Familiarity with privacy, data security, and/or compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) is strongly preferred.

Salary Range Information

The annual salary range for this position has been set based on market data and other factors. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
