About the Role

The Senior Python Backend Engineer serves as a technical anchor within our Delivery department, taking direct ownership of Python microservices, AWS cloud architecture, and cutting-edge AI integrations. As a senior contributor, you will move beyond executing tasks to owning outcomes—architecting resilient APIs, integrating LLM workflows, and maintaining standard-setting system reliability.

This role is critical to delivering high-impact nearshore software solutions and serving as a direct, articulate bridge to US-based client teams. You will drive system health and technical execution while mentoring junior and intermediate peers to continuously raise the engineering bar.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, high-performance asynchronous Python backend services and microservices deployed natively on AWS.
• Build and orchestrate production-ready AI/GenAI integrations, leveraging tools like Amazon Bedrock, LLM APIs, Vector Databases, and modern RAG frameworks.
• Optimize cloud systems and database performant pipelines across AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, and API Gateways.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives around code quality, test-driven development (TDD), security standards, and system observability.
• Collaborate seamlessly with client product owners, stakeholders, and internal teams in English to turn complex requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Years of Experience: 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience with a primary focus on Python; 3+ years architecting on AWS.
• Core Tech Stack: Python 3.x (FastAPI, Django, Flask, AsyncIO), AWS cloud ecosystem (Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, API Gateway), SQL/NoSQL databases, and Docker.
• AI Ecosystem: Hands-on exposure to LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), Amazon Bedrock, LangChain/LlamaIndex, Vector DBs, or RAG implementations.
• Soft Skills: High sense of ownership, analytical problem-solving mindset, collaborative spirit, and strong technical communication skills.
• Language: Advanced English proficiency (C1+ written and spoken) is mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge or hands-on experience with the Java / Spring Boot ecosystem (great for multi-stack migration projects).
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK) and automated CI/CD pipeline management.
• Experience with advanced event-driven architectures using Kafka, SQS/SNS, or EventBridge.
