Job description

The Setup Analyst is responsible for receiving and entering medical claims while maintaining accuracy and meeting turnaround requirements. The Setup Analyst provides a high level skillset, supporting the goals of the Setup department, personal growth, and of CorVel. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure bill is eligible for MCS review
  • Handle/organize bills to be entered timely, proficiently, and accurately into internal system
  • Communicate any special handling of each claim
  • Maintains production standards and production requirements
  • Comply with standard protocol for processing problem claims
  • Responsible for high profile clients, including production, QC, communications, etc.
  • May assist with training new employees
  • Function as back-up for filter or filter leads
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as required
  • Assist co-workers, supervisor and management in accomplishing production goals
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance in all aspects of communications and performance of duties
  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to review departmental work product for quality and correct when applicable
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced/production environment
  • Ability to investigate and obtain answers independently

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year office experience
  • Data Entry experience

 

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location.  Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors:  federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions.  Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.  The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $13.38 - $20.36 per hour
