Job description

Overview:

We are seeking a Business Development Manager for our growing Energy team, focusing on asset integrity engineering for pipeline infrastructure, natural gas, and fuel systems. In this role, you will drive business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities within the pipeline and fuel sectors, working with key clients across the United States on projects spanning multiple markets and geographies. This position presents a unique opportunity to expand your expertise while contributing to critical asset integrity projects that ensure the reliability and safety of vital energy infrastructure. This role can be based in any ENERCON/Pond Office location, or remote from within the US.

Responsibilities:

This role drives strategic growth by building lasting client relationships and leading business development efforts across pipeline and asset integrity projects, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet industry standards.

  • Client Relationships & Business Development: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients. Understand client asset management needs and align services to meet their integrity goals. Prepare proposals, forecast sales, and lead strategic planning for pipeline and asset integrity projects
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and operations teams to deliver innovative solutions. Ensure solutions meet industry standards and client expectations
  • Industry & Market Awareness: Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in the pipeline, natural gas, and fuel sectors #LI-MB1
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related field strongly preferred
  • 7 to 10 years of business development experience in asset integrity engineering, particularly in pipeline infrastructure, natural gas, and fuel systems
  • Proven expertise in pipeline integrity, inspection technologies, corrosion management, and risk assessment processes
  • Demonstrated success in sales forecasting, CRM opportunity management, and building client relationships
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients, stakeholders, and internal teams effectively
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and ensure timely execution of asset integrity solutions
  • Proactive problem-solving approach, with a passion for enhancing the safety, reliability, and compliance of pipeline and fuel systems
  • Availability to travel for client visits, industry events, and other business development activities at least 50% of the time
