Job description

Overview & Responsibilities

This role is responsible for driving business growth by promoting and selling the company's comprehensive portfolio of products and aftermarket services. The focus is specifically centered on the inspections, maintenance, servicing, and retrofitting of turbomachinery and associated rotating equipment, including steam turbines, compressors, and cryogenic pumps.

Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, the successful candidate will oversee and manage sales activities for a defined territory. This position requires a strategic approach to territory management, business planning, deep customer relationship building, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Territory & Account Management

  • Account Over-sight: Manage assigned customer accounts within the designated territory and effectively allocate resources to meet overarching business objectives.

  • Business Development: Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within hydrocarbon processing and secondary industries.

  • Strategic Planning: Submit detailed annual business plans, monthly sales reports, and accurate sales forecasts to ensure strict alignment with company goals.

  • Objective Setting: Keep abreast of market trends and competitors' activities while setting short, medium, and long-term objectives to consistently exceed sales budgets.

Sales, Proposals & Commercial Execution

  • Deal Formulation: Prepare winning proposals, negotiate complex contractual terms, and secure orders while maintaining desired profit margins.

  • Project Oversight: Monitor project execution to ensure timely delivery, full compliance with technical and commercial requirements, and complete customer satisfaction.

  • Financial Stewardship: Ensure sales activities align with corporate profitability targets and territory health.

Market Representation & Channel Management

  • Brand Advocacy: Participate actively in industry trade fairs, road shows, and high-level sales presentations to promote the company's specialized products and services.

  • Representative Management: Recommend, justify, and manage local sales representatives, providing them with necessary training, alignment, and guidance.

  • Professional Standards: Uphold the company’s high standards of integrity and excellence in all interactions with customers, partners, and colleagues.

Candidate Profile

Experience & Industry Knowledge

  • Sector Expertise: Proven experience in sales and business development, particularly within the turbomachinery or rotating equipment sector.

  • Product Knowledge: Essential knowledge of steam turbines, compressors, pumps, and related auxiliary equipment.

  • Target Markets: Strong understanding of hydrocarbon processing industries (such as oil and gas, petrochemical, and gas transmission) as well as secondary industries (including power generation, iron and steel, and paper and pulp).

Skills & Competencies

  • Territory & Organization Skills: Excellent territory management, planning, and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce detailed business plans, proposals, and sales forecasts.

  • Interpersonal & Communication Excellence: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with key stakeholders and clients. Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills are required.

  • Solution-Oriented Approach: Ability to deeply understand and respond to diverse customer needs by offering highly tailored technical and service solutions.

  • Agility & Market Awareness: Ability to stay informed of technological advancements and changing market trends, maintaining a flexible approach to capture emerging opportunities.

  • Channel Leadership: Experience in managing and training local sales representatives is considered a distinct plus.

  • Drive: This role perfectly suits a proactive, results-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic, autonomous sales environment.

Base Location

  • Saudi Arabia – Remote Working Basis (with travel required across the designated territory for client meetings, presentations, and events).
