ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a fast-paced and high-autonomy position for a true sales professional with a strong strategic mindset. You will have deep experience in coffee, coffee-adjacent, or CPG sales and be a successful Territory Sales Representative. You are responsible for a go-to-market strategy in the On Premise/Cafe channel that will land new accounts, increase customer loyalty, improve account retention, build distribution growth, and improve company profitability. You will actively prospect and close new accounts while continuing to build relationships with existing customers, distributors, and partners across the channel. You will oversee the management and development of your expanded territory, not just the city or state you reside in.

This role will cover the Northwest territory. This is a remote role but due to the requirements of the job the candidate must reside in Portland, Oregon.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Serve as THE face of the Minor Figures brand in the assigned territory within the On Premise/Cafe channel.
  • Meet all revenue and strategic business initiatives in your assigned territory.
  • Drive and manage sales and distribution throughout the territory.
  • Prospect and engage potential new partners for MF via a relationship-led approach, along with a keen understanding of the cafe and foodservice channels.
  • Conduct regular visits and develop strong relationships with existing operators and accounts to retain and grow the business.
  • Develop and nurture partnerships with local distributors.
  • Identify prospective customers and track opportunities within our CRM for your respective pipeline.
  • In conjunction with sales leadership and Sales Operations Analyst, lead efforts to properly forecast your respective business for both existing and new accounts.
  • In collaboration with Minor Figures' sales leadership team, onboard, train, and grow sales with new distributors.
  • Support sales and opportunities with marquee or strategic accounts as needed by regional sales managers/directors within your assigned territory.
  • Educate, sample, and support distributor representatives and teams, as well as cafe partners and operators alike.
  • Multi-task between several priorities, mapping out smart weekly routes to maximize daily field efforts.
  • Utilize Minor Figures tools to build an accurate territory pipeline and forecasts.
  • Participate in regular internal team calls, sharing best practices, feedback on competitors, and market insights.
  • Collaborate with leadership on individual or career development, and quarterly goals that are challenging yet attainable.
  • Represent Minor Figures in a professional and authentic manner
  • Maintain a high level of expertise on the broader coffee, hospitality, and foodservice industry trends and happenings.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM

As part of the Cafe channel, you'll be leading the Northwest Territory under Regional Sales Manager, Travis Harvey. Our sales team is divided into three channels: On-Premise (for cafés and general restaurant use), National Foodservice (corporate dining contracts, large chain), and Off-Premise (for retail grocery stores). We are all coffee people and are very immersed in the coffee community nationwide, but we are equally as passionate about all of our customers and segments of business!

Although the North American team is remote, we are a very close knit bunch. We might be a small group but we have a ton of drive and truly believe in our products. We like to build lasting relationships within our team as well as with our customers.

ABOUT YOU

We hire humans, not machines, and our team is made up of people who will bring the energy, are eager to learn, and embrace every day being different.

We’re big on collaboration, and we want everyone on the team to take pride in their work. You’ll thrive here if you adapt easily to change, face challenges head-on, and love to jump right in and figure it out as you go along. Whether you’re WFH, or at an event, you will support your teammates and you’re comfortable asking for support when you need it yourself.

Some core skills and experience, if you’ll humor us?

  • Relevant sales & business development experience within the cafe channel
  • Deep knowledge of the area/geography in the Northwest

  • Reliable means to get to and from client locations
  • Willing and able to move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for various needs

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

As part of the Minor Figures team, you’ll have the opportunity to invest in the business, with the option to buy shares in the company at an agreed price. Having skin in the game and really contributing to our success. Because it’s all of us that make this happen.

But of course, we look after you in the other ways that you’d expect:

  • Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance plans
  • 15 days vacation, 14 days paid holiday
  • Employee share options scheme, available to all full time employees.
  • 1 day paid leave to support a cause of your choice through volunteering or activism
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Paid Parental leave policy
  • Flexible working to meet the needs of the role
  • Access to the Calm app

YOUR COMMITMENT
