Job description

Job Title: Head of Marketing - Department Lead

Type: Independent Contractor (with potential for long-term engagement)

Location: Remote (Philippines, Taiwan & China)

Position Type: Full-time, Virtual

Who We Are

The Law Offices of Sabrina Li, P.C. is a top-rated U.S. immigration law firm headquartered in Los Angeles, with additional offices in Santa Ana and Dallas, and a growing global operations team based in the Philippines.

Our marketing philosophy is grounded in credibility, legal accuracy, and trust. Effective law firm marketing is not about hype--it is about translating complex legal processes into clear, ethical, and persuasive communication that helps clients make informed decisions at critical moments.

As the firm continues to scale, we are seeking a senior marketing professional who understands how law firms grow, how to manage people and systems, and how to turn marketing into a predictable business engine.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to lead and oversee the firm's marketing function. This role combines strategy, execution, and people management.

You will oversee a marketing team of three (3), with potential growth to four (4) team members, while remaining hands-on with planning, quality control, performance analysis, and continuous optimization.

This role requires a strong understanding of law firm marketing, particularly in a regulated, high-stakes practice area such as U.S. immigration law, where accuracy, compliance, tone, and credibility are critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Marketing Director will be responsible for setting direction, managing people, and ensuring consistent execution across all marketing channels.
  • You will oversee the firm's website, digital campaigns, content systems, and brand presence, while guiding the team to convert complex immigration law concepts into clear, client-centered messaging.
  • Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a marketing team; assigning priorities; reviewing work for quality, compliance, and effectiveness; and ensuring deadlines and KPIs are met.
  • You will lead the firm's website strategy, including structure, UX, landing pages, and conversion optimization, and ensure all content aligns with legal accuracy and business goals.
  • You will oversee content creation across video, social media, email, and web platforms, ensuring messaging reflects the firm's expertise, professionalism, and brand voice.
  • You will manage and optimize paid marketing efforts, including Google Ads and landing pages, with a focus on lead quality, ROI, and ethical compliance.
  • You will direct SEO and GEO strategy and execution, including keyword priorities, content planning, and performance tracking, with an emphasis on long-term organic growth.
  • You will analyze marketing data across channels, monitor KPIs, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and present actionable recommendations to firm leadership.
  • You will implement systems, workflows, and tools (such as Monday.com and AI-assisted workflows) to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • You will work closely with firm leadership to align marketing strategy with business objectives, intake capacity, and growth plans.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably in law firms, professional services, or agency environments
  • Proven experience leading and managing a marketing team or function in a U.S.-based company, including delegation, performance oversight, and mentoring
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), content strategy, social media, email campaigns, and analytics
  • Proficiency with Webflow is required, including website management, page updates, CMS content, and basic conversion optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategy and execute end-to-end campaigns, from planning through performance analysis
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, priorities, and team performance in a results-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to review, train, and mentor staff
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset, with experience using marketing metrics and KPIs to guide decisions
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently in a remote, high-accountability environment
  • Prior experience in law firm marketing or regulated professional services is a strong plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; advanced certifications are a plus
  • Mandarin Chinese and/or Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required

Benefits

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to build, scale, and lead the firm's marketing function, expand the team, and influence firm-wide strategy
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to KPIs, lead quality, and departmental success
