Treasury Assistant Vice President (Remote - Work from Anywhere)

Position overview

As the Treasury AVP at Xapo Bank, you will be a key member of our Treasury team, responsible for driving the Bank's Bitcoin first strategy along with focus on traditional finance, in particular across fixed income investment strategies that balance yield enhancement with prudent risk taking. Working closely with the Head of Treasury, you will bring a trading mindset to Treasury, structuring products across both traditional fixed income and Bitcoin, while leveraging strong Bitcoin and FX experience to support the Bank's investment and hedging activities.

Responsibilities

• Fixed Income Investments: Manage and grow the Treasury's fixed income investment portfolio, including sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments to optimise returns within approved risk limits.
• Risk Reward Balance: Assess and balance risk and reward across Treasury's investment and structuring activities, ensuring decisions are made within the Group's Risk Appetite and Financial Limits.
• Product Structuring: Structure investment and yield products for Treasury, working with internal stakeholders and counterparties to bring new structured solutions to market.
• Bitcoin Structured Products: Design and structure products referencing Bitcoin, including yield, hedging, and investment structures that align with the Bank's Bitcoin-first strategy.
• OTC Bitcoin & FX Execution: Execute and manage OTC Bitcoin trades and FX flows, maintaining strong counterparty relationships and ensuring best execution.
• Trading Support: Apply trading discipline and market experience to Treasury's day-to-day investment, hedging, and execution activities.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate investment-related risks, including credit, market, currency, and interest rate risk, in line with the Group's Risk Appetite.
• Treasury Reporting: Contribute to Treasury Management Information, including investment performance, P&L, and risk reporting for senior committees such as the ALCO

Skills needed

• CFA or CIMA or similar qualification preferred.
• Proven experience in Fixed Income Investments, including sourcing, evaluating, and managing a fixed income portfolio.
• Demonstrated experience structuring products for Treasury, ideally including Bitcoin-referenced structures.
• Strong OTC Bitcoin and FX trading/flow experience.
• Prior experience in a Trading role, with a strong understanding of market execution and price discovery.
• Strong grasp of risk-reward trade-offs, with the ability to balance yield enhancement against the Group's Risk Appetite.
• Creative, commercially minded approach to designing new investment and yield-enhancing solutions.
• Must have Crypto experience.
• Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of financial principles, investment management, and treasury operations.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities to interpret financial data and make data-driven decisions.
• Risk Management: Knowledge of investment and market-related risks and experience in developing risk mitigation strategies.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to report and present financial information effectively.
• Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations and reporting.
