Software Engineer (L1)

With millions of wallets created and a global audience, Bitcoin.com is one of the world's leading crypto content and onboarding platforms. We're now starting something new, from a blank repo in Rust, and we're early enough that the architecture is still being decided. Join us in bringing crypto to the next billion users. Key Responsibilities

• Design and build the services behind the product: APIs, data models, integrations
• Own what you ship, from first commit to running it in production
• Work with Product and Design to turn requirements into something that holds up under load
• Write code others can maintain, with tests and instrumentation as part of the work
• Take part in code reviews and help set the architecture and standards while they're still being decided

What We Are Looking For 

Required 

• 2 years (or more) of professional experience.
• Strong Rust, Go, Java or Kotlin; production Rust a plus
• You design REST APIs others build on. Clear contracts, sensible versioning
• AWS or equivalent, containers, CI/CD
• Fluent with AI coding tools like Claude Code, with the judgment to know when the output can't be trusted
• Blockchain fundamentals: ERC20, RPC nodes, UTXO vs account models
• Clear written and verbal English, and a self-driven work style
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• Payment rails (SEPA, SWIFT, ACH) or card issuing
• Regulated fintech: PSD2, KYC/AML, PCI DSS
• Crypto custody, on-chain settlement, stablecoin flows
• Monitoring and analytics tools (Sentry, New Relic)
