Job description

Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) ​Sr. Materials Planning Manager! We’re a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA with Mondays and Fridays remote. 

In this role, the Sr. Materials Planning Manager is responsible for leading integrated planning activities across materials, supply, inventory, manufacturing, and contract manufacturing operations. This position drives service, cost, inventory, and operational performance through the development and execution of end-to-end planning strategies. The role provides leadership to planning teams, collaborates cross-functionally to align supply chain plans, supports innovation and business growth initiatives, and drives continuous improvement through process optimization, data management, and strategic decision-making.

A Day in the Life...

  • Lead planning activities including, materials planning, inventory management, replenishment, and contract manufacturing operations to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead, develop, and coach planning professionals by establishing team objectives, monitoring performance, building capabilities, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and align supply, material, inventory, production, and stock transfer plans to support business demand while balancing capacity, material availability, and service requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, process optimization, and implementation of system and workflow enhancements across planning and supply chain functions.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Commercial teams, R&D, and external manufacturing partners to create and maintain an aligned end-to-end supply plan.
  • Oversee planning system integrity including master data governance, MRP effectiveness, inventory planning parameters, and planning-related business processes.
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and finished goods through proactive planning, risk identification, mitigation strategies, and supplier and co-manufacturer collaboration.
  • Support innovation, commercialization, and lifecycle management initiatives through effective planning, supply readiness, and inventory strategies.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, co-manufacturers, and external partners while identifying opportunities to improve service, reduce cost, and optimize network performance.
  • Lead budgeting, financial analysis, inventory reconciliation, reporting activities, and identification of cost optimization opportunities across the planning and supply network.

What We Are Looking For:

Required

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience within supply chain, planning, manufacturing, or operations environments.
  • Extensive experience in supply planning, materials planning, inventory management, replenishment, procurement, demand planning, and manufacturing operations.
  • Strong understanding of MRP processes, production planning, inventory optimization, and supply chain management principles.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving organizational alignment.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, S4, and IBP preferred) and advanced use of Microsoft Excel and planning tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Results oriented with the ability to lead through ambiguity and drive continuous improvement.

Preferred

  • Food and beverage manufacturing or consumer packaged goods experience.
  • Experience managing contract manufacturing networks and external supply partners.
  • Project management experience leading large cross-functional initiatives.
  • APICS/ASCM, CSCP, CPIM, or related supply chain certifications.

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)

Work Experience:

At least 10 Years of Experience

Annual Salary:

$128,000 - $160,000
