SEO Specialist (Technical SEO, Content & Organic Growth) – Remote

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Working Hours: U.S. Client Business Hours

About the Role

At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring an SEO Specialist to improve search visibility, increase organic rankings, and drive sustainable inbound traffic and conversions.

This is a hands-on SEO role covering technical SEO, keyword strategy, on-page optimization, content SEO, link building, and performance analytics.

You’ll work closely with content, marketing, design, and development teams to ensure websites are technically healthy, search-friendly, authoritative, and continuously improving.

What You’ll Own

Keyword Research & SEO Strategy

  • Conduct in-depth keyword research using:
    • SEMrush
    • Ahrefs
    • Google Keyword Planner
  • Map keywords according to search intent, user behavior, and buyer journey stages.
  • Identify:
    • Ranking opportunities
    • Content gaps
    • Competitor weaknesses
    • High-value search terms
  • Build SEO strategies aligned with organic traffic, lead generation, and conversion goals.
  • Prioritize SEO opportunities based on potential business impact.

On-Page SEO & Content Optimization

  • Optimize:
    • Title tags
    • Meta descriptions
    • Headings
    • URLs
    • Internal links
    • Image alt text
  • Implement structured data and schema markup where applicable.
  • Conduct content audits and identify pages requiring optimization, consolidation, or expansion.
  • Ensure content balances search optimization with readability and brand voice.
  • Optimize landing pages and existing content for rankings and conversions.

Technical SEO

  • Conduct technical audits using Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, SEMrush, and similar tools.
  • Identify and resolve:
    • Crawl errors
    • Indexation issues
    • Duplicate content
    • Broken links
    • Redirect problems
    • Canonicalization issues
  • Manage and optimize:
    • XML sitemaps
    • Robots.txt
    • Canonical tags
    • Crawl architecture
  • Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile usability, and overall technical performance.
  • Collaborate with developers to prioritize and implement technical fixes.

Off-Page SEO & Link Building

  • Develop scalable, ethical backlink strategies.
  • Execute outreach through:
    • Partnerships
    • Guest posting
    • Digital PR
    • Relevant industry opportunities
  • Monitor backlink profiles and identify low-quality or potentially harmful links.
  • Support backlink cleanup or disavowal when appropriate.
  • Improve website authority and organic trust signals over time.

Analytics & SEO Reporting

  • Monitor:
    • Keyword rankings
    • Organic traffic
    • Search impressions
    • Engagement
    • Leads and conversions
  • Use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to analyze performance.
  • Build reporting dashboards using Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly SEO reports with clear insights and recommendations.
  • Adjust strategies based on performance data, search trends, and algorithm changes.

Cross-Functional SEO Support

  • Partner with writers to create SEO-focused content.
  • Collaborate with developers on technical implementation.
  • Support marketing and design teams with landing page optimization.
  • Provide SEO guidance during:
    • Website redesigns
    • Site migrations
    • Product launches
    • New content initiatives
  • Ensure SEO considerations are incorporated early into website and marketing projects.
