Job description

Customers rarely remember what went wrong. They remember who fixed it, and how it felt.

Job Overview

Our UK-based client is hiring a full-time, remote Customer Services Representative based in South Africa. You will be the voice of the business across phone and email - resolving queries, smoothing problems and leaving customers better than you found them. This is a long-term role on UK business hours.

About Our Client

The client is an established UK company with a loyal customer base built on service. They believe customer care is a revenue function, not a cost centre - and they hire people who can prove it one conversation at a time.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle inbound customer calls and emails promptly and professionally

- Resolve orders, accounts and service queries at first contact where possible

- Turn complaints into recoveries with empathy and ownership

- Record interactions accurately with clear follow-up actions

- Coordinate with internal teams to close out customer promises

- Spot recurring issues and escalate the cause, not just the symptom

- Meet response, resolution and satisfaction targets consistently

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day

Your day mixes the phone and the inbox: greeting customers, understanding what they actually need, and resolving it cleanly. You will keep every case updated, chase internal answers so customers do not have to, and close loops the same day wherever possible.

When a difficult conversation comes - and it will - you will lower the temperature, own the fix, and follow through until the customer confirms it is sorted.

This suits a South African professional with natural warmth and professional discipline: patient on the phone, precise in writing, reliable in follow-up. You take pride in being the person customers hope will answer.

If you are based in South Africa with excellent spoken and written English and real service experience, this is a stable remote role with a UK employer that values its customers - and the people who look after them. Apply today.

Requirements

- Excellent spoken and written English with a warm, professional manner

- Proven reliability: stable fibre internet, backup power for load shedding, and a quiet home office

- Calm, empathetic and solution-focused under pressure

- Dependable to UK business hours with consistent follow-through
