Who Gives A Crap

Cleaning & Household Products

We are one of the fastest-growing eCommerce businesses in Australia (and now the US and UK too!). More than that, we’re one of the country’s fastest-growing social businesses. Who Gives a Crap sells beautiful, forest friendly toilet paper, paper towels and tissues and we donate 50% of our profits to help build toilets for those in need. As much as we love toilet paper, the reason we’re in business is the impact we’re having on the world—To date, Who Gives A Crap has donated over $8 million Aussie dollars to our charity partners, WaterAid, Sanergy, Lwala Community Alliance and Shining Hope For Communities, iDE and WaterSHED. The more innovative the solutions our partners can unlock, the quicker we can help build toilets for the 2 billion people who don’t have them. We have a fully distributed business with all team members working remotely (i.e. from home or a co-working space) most of the time. We currently operate in six time zones with team members across four continents... and we’re just getting started. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences is what makes a strong team. The stronger our team, the closer we are to our mission – toilets and clean water for all. So come join us! We're looking for people of all genders, races, ethnicities, orientations, abilities and disabilities to come sit at our table. The only thing we're a stickler on is species – you have to be a person.

Funny name, serious business

We are a leading eco-friendly household essentials business and we donate 50% of our profits to help everyone gain access to clean water and a toilet. As of June 2026, we’ve contributed over $20 million AUD to this mission. Basically, we’re really good at making it easy to do good.

Our business is scaling in the UK, US, Australia and Canada, and our amazing team is spread across Australia, the UK, the Philippines, China, and the US. Our 250+ people aim to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next 5-10 years, we’re hoping to increase our annual donation tenfold to get us closer to our dream of everyone in the world having access to clean water and sanitation services.

A bit about the role

As our Social Creative, you’ll be one of the creative voices shaping our organic social presence — dreaming up ideas that are unmistakably Who Gives A Crap, then actually making them happen. You’re a writer first: someone who thinks in captions, scripts and copy before anything else. Most of your time (around 80%) is spent deep in our social channels: spotting what’s worth jumping on,finding the angle no one else has taken, and writing copy that sounds like a person, not a brand. The other 20% is broader creative work — pitching in on presentations, campaigns and other through-the-line projects as part of the Copy team, and alongside the wider Creative department.

If you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in

  • Jumped into a weekly brainstorm to figure out which trends, formats and conversations we could jump on (and which we should steer clear of)
  • Found new ways to talk about our impact, connecting customers with the stories of people we're helping around the world
  • Wrote, shot and edited a short-form video on your phone, start to finish, for one of our channels
  • Pitched a handful of ideas for a product launch and helped bring the strongest one to life across platforms
  • Joined a cross-functional brief alongside an art director or designer for a piece of broader campaign work

Let’s talk about you

You can’t help but notice what’s working on the internet

You’re genuinely curious about internet culture — not just what’s trending, but why. You’ve got a maker’s instinct too: when an idea lands, you don’t just pitch it, you’re comfortable picking up a phone and shooting it yourself.

You’re a wizard with words

You can write a caption that’s short, sharp and sounds like a real person — and you know when a bit of brand tone of voice needs bending to work on a given platform. You get our particular flavour of silly, and you know it’s different from just being try-hard or worthy.

You’ve got a couple of years under your belt

This isn’t an entry-level gig. You can tell a good idea from a bad one without much hand-holding, and you’re comfortable taking loose direction and running with it.

You give a crap. Do you want your work to make the world a better place? Do you want to work with other people who feel the same way? What a coincidence — us too!

Why should you work with us?

First off, as a certified B Corp™, we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the high standards of social and environmental impact. We’re in very good company with other exceptional B Corps around the world.

We also believe that helping to make the world a better place should be rewarded accordingly – that’s why we offer competitive, market informed salaries, meaningful support towards healthcare for our team around the world, generous paid leave, tailored learning and development opportunities, and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).

Our engagement surveys (thanks Culture Amp!) tell us that our team is really proud (over 90%) to work for Who Gives A Crap and, well, we couldn’t be more proud of that.

Have you made it this far?

If you’re still reading, we think there’s a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here’s the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don’t check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all.
