POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Social Media Specialist brings AbleNet's social media strategy to life. This role creates content, grows the community, and runs the listening and reporting programs that strengthen the brand, deepen engagement, and support the marketing funnel. The role combines strategic content development with social listening, reporting, and storytelling, using data and AI tools to improve performance and efficiency. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Senior Social Media Specialist ensures social initiatives align with overall marketing objectives and support the growth of the AbleNet brand.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Develop and produce engaging social media content, including short-form video, graphics, and carousels, that improves Generative Search Optimization, strengthens the AbleNet brand, and drives measurable growth in reach and engagement.
  2. Lead AbleNet's social listening program by managing topics and queries, monitoring conversations across social channels and online communities, and translating share-of-voice data into actionable insights.
  3. Engage the speech-language pathology and family communities daily, and track and report voice-of-customer feedback to inform product, content, and marketing decisions.
  4. Source and publish authentic customer, family, and clinician stories that build trust and deepen engagement across AbleNet's communities.
  5. Own social media reporting by building dashboards against defined KPIs, analyzing performance, and demonstrating social media's measurable contribution to the marketing funnel.
  6. Harness AI tools and analytics to increase content volume and velocity, setting benchmarks for efficiency while applying judgment about where human-crafted creative best serves the brand.
  7. Collaborate cross-functionally with the marketing and production teams to execute campaigns and align social media programs with brand positioning, campaign goals, and targeted engagement objectives.
  8. Complete all additional tasks to support the execution of social media strategy. 


CORE COMPETENCIES, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

  1. Understanding of assistive technology and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) a plus.
  2. Hands-on content creation and design skills across major social platforms.
  3. Experience managing a variety of social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn key).
  4. Experience managing a social media community in a highly regulated industry such as healthcare or medical devices.
  5. Ability to use social management and listening tools such as Sprout Social.
  6. Excellent written communication for both clinical and family audiences.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • 2+ years of professional experience in speech services or marketing.
  • Background in Speech-Language Pathology strongly preferred.




Physical, Time, Presence & Other Requirements

Physical: 

 Internal Office Environment – Requires regular sitting or standing at a desk, consistent computer keyboarding and mouse use, and the ability to perform routine office tasks in a professional office setting.

Time:

 Full-Time, exempt employees work an average of 40 hours per week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

Presence: 

 Fully Remote - onsite presence is not expected/will be minimal
