Location: Remote / Germany-wide (Connected to a German University network)

Duration: 3-week initial workshop + ongoing network management

Compensation: Base rate for instruction + Competitive Educational Outreach Bonuses

Are you a current PhD student or recent graduate in Germany looking to monetize your Python skills while helping your peers transition from academia to industry?

We are launching a specialized Academic Talent Pipeline. In this role, you will act as a bridge between your university network and the tech ecosystem. You will host a fully-funded, 3-week "Python Basics for Researchers" workshop, and subsequently mentor peers who wish to leverage government funding to launch full-time tech careers.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver Impactful Training: Lead a 3-week, part-time online workshop teaching Python fundamentals to a cohort of PhD students and researchers from your network.

• Network Curation: Utilize your existing university connections, working groups, and academic networks to invite researchers who would genuinely benefit from upskilling.

• Career Mentorship & Guidance: Act as a brand ambassador for Neuefische/Spiced Academy. Identify peers who are looking to transition out of academia and guide them toward our advanced bootcamps.

• Navigating Funded Education: Help interested candidates understand how to access 100% funding via the Agentur für Arbeit (Bildungsgutschein), serving as their first point of contact.

Your Profile

• Academic Networker: You are a current PhD student or recent graduate at a German university with active ties to STEM, social sciences, or quantitative research departments.

• Python Proficient: Strong foundational knowledge of Python and the ability to explain basic coding concepts to beginners clearly.

• Empathetic Communicator: You enjoy mentoring others and helping them figure out their next career steps.

• Self-Starter: You have the organizational skills to independently coordinate a workshop cohort.

• Full Administrative Support: We handle the heavy lifting regarding the Agentur für Arbeit admissions process once you introduce the candidate.

• Turnkey Curriculum: We provide the framework and materials for the Python basics course—you bring it to life.

• Teaching Skills: You will be trained in our unique teaching methodology and have the opportunity to develop your mentoring skills while supporting participants throughout their learning journey.
