VIPA is a European multinational company, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a rapidly expanding Paper and Board Division and a leading position in the global recycling and recovered material trading.You'll work primarily against our Oracle 19c database — writing and optimizing the PL/SQL that sits at the core of our systems - and collaborate closely with the rest of the team on new features, migrations, and day-to-day improvements.

Key Responsibilities​

• Design, write, and maintain PL/SQL - packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views — to meet business requirements.

• Model and evolve database structures: schemas, tables, indexes, sequences, constraints, and collections.

• Turn business requirements into sound technical designs, and document them clearly for the team.

• Investigate and fix bugs, and tune slow queries and processes for performance.

• Take part in code reviews - both giving and receiving feedback - to keep quality high and spread knowledge across the team.

• Write and run unit tests, and support integration and user-acceptance testing through to release.

• Work alongside colleagues on the application layer (Magic / C# .NET) to deliver features end to end.

• Follow good practice around data security, integrity, and access as part of everyday development.

Required Qualifications

• Oracle PL/SQL - solid, hands-on experience writing and debugging real-world PL/SQL, plus strong SQL and a good grasp of relational database design.

• Eager to learn - you pick up new tools and domains quickly and want to keep growing.

• Communication & collaboration - you explain your thinking clearly, work well with others, and share what you know.

Desired Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (CSM / PSM)

• Experience with Power BI or executive reporting dashboards

• Background in digital transformation or ERP / enterprise systems projects
