Overview:

Project & Program Management
Own end-to-end project management for special initiatives under the CIO, including
tracking milestones, managing stakeholders, and ensuring on-time delivery
Coordinate the setup of the CIO office organization in consultation with the CIO, HR
business partners, and finance business partners.
Support organizational transition activities by liaising with necessary cross-functional enterprise teams such as Legal, M&A, Real Estate, and HR, ensuring clear
communication and timely action and to ensure the core business teams can remain
focused on business deliverables.

 

Events & Off-sites
In coordination with Executive Assistant to CIO, support logistics and lead content
coordination for strategic leadership offsites (x2-3), managing agendas, attendee
experience, and pre/post communications.
In collaboration with SATO leadership, support content development and execution for two team regional events, partnering with internal teams and SATO GLT for a positive training and learning experience.
 In coordination with Executive Assistant to CIO, support business travel and site visits for 2-3 major trips (e.g., Europe in August, China in September, and India in October) to ensure coordination of factory, office, and external stakeholder meetings and priorities across all functions and commercial teams.

 

Coordination & Communications
Serve as a coordination point across teams under the CIO, tracking cross-functional
dependencies and escalating issues proactively.

Prepare briefing materials, project trackers, and status updates for CIO leadership
Additional activities and scope of role to be jointly adapted and agreed as needs evolve.

 

Responsibilities:

Leader, Special Initiatives supports the Chief Impact Officer by managing a portfolio of high-priority projects that cut across the CIO teams and key enterprise functions over the next 12 months (August 2026 - July 2027). This is a high-execution role for someone who brings strong organizational skills, cross-functional agility, a sharp attention to detail, and proactive, consistent communication.  Example projects will include standing up the CIO office,
supporting agenda and content development for major internal events, and coordinating an organizational and structural transition.

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in project management, program coordination, operations  or a similar field.
Demonstrated experience managing events, offsites, or large cross-functional initiatives.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple workstreams simultaneously.
A proficient communicator, both in writing and speaking, with a background in creating materials tailored for senior-level audiences.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities can shift.
 Comfortable working in a global, virtual environment where work spans multiple time zones and cultural expectations
Experience working with organizational transitions that involve team and organizational structure changes and changes to facilities etc a plus
Business English Fluency required. Conversational Japanese and/or additional
languages a plus.
Knowledge of the Google suite a plus.
The position is virtual with a work-from-home setup.
Travel mainly within the United States, focusing on NJ, NYC, and NC office sites as needed.
 Anticipate 1-2 international trips.

Hiring Range:

The salary range for remote hires is $98,000- $140,000 per year.  Salary offer to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

 Other Compensation (if applicable): This role will be eligible to participate in the annual Short Term Incentive plan.
