Job Summary: 

Pets Best is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to support customer engagement, retention, and growth through targeted email and lifecycle marketing programs. This role is ideal for candidates with 2-5 years of hands-on email marketing experience, strong HTML skills, experience using Acoustic, Braze, or comparable ESP platforms, and a strong analytical mindset. The person in this role will own email measurement, performance reporting, testing, optimization, and channel hygiene to ensure campaigns and automated journeys are continuously improving, reaching the inbox, and delivering against business goals. 

 

Job Location: Remote – USA 

 

Main Responsibilities:      

  • Build, maintain, and optimize automated customer journeys to engage current and prospective customers, support lifecycle programs, drive conversions, and increase brand affinity. 

  • Configure entry events, decision splits, audience segmentation, and campaign logic to deliver personalized and timely customer communications. 

  • Own email measurement and optimization, including KPI definitions, campaign analysis, recurring reporting, insight generation, A/B testing, and recommendations that improve engagement, conversion, retention, and program effectiveness. 

  • Create compelling, responsive email templates using HTML and ensure compatibility across devices and platforms. 

  • Manage email lists, segmentation strategies, personalization, and automation workflows. 

  • Own email channel hygiene and deliverability best practices, including list quality, suppression management, bounce handling, preference management, sender reputation monitoring, and inactive audience strategies. 

  • Monitor channel health indicators such as bounce rates, spam complaints, unsubscribes, engagement trends, inbox placement, domain reputation, and audience fatigue; recommend re-engagement, frequency, and sunsetting strategies to protect long-term channel performance. 

  • Collaborate with creative, marketing, technology, ESP, and compliance stakeholders to align messaging, brand standards, deliverability, consent, unsubscribe requirements, and list-health governance. 

 

Basic Qualifications:   

  • 2-5 years of professional experience in email marketing, preferably in insurance or related industries. 

  • Demonstrated proficiency in HTML for email design, QA, and troubleshooting. 

  • Strong hands-on experience with Acoustic, Braze, or comparable ESP platforms. 

  • Experience building automated customer journeys, lifecycle campaigns, and audience segmentation strategies. 

  • Strong proficiency in email and lifecycle marketing analytics, including KPI development, performance reporting, trend analysis, A/B testing, segmentation analysis, and translating insights into actionable optimization recommendations. 

  • Experience using campaign, CRM, ESP, and web analytics reporting tools to evaluate performance and communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Working knowledge of email deliverability and channel hygiene best practices, including sender reputation, authentication concepts, bounce management, spam complaint monitoring, suppression logic, preference management, unsubscribe compliance, re-engagement campaigns, and sunsetting strategies. 

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
