Key Position Details:

  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)
  • 8-hour day shift
  • No weekend
  • Remote position; must reside within commuting distance of Allina Commons, Minneapolis, MN

Job Description:

Provides support and coordinates the new hire process to ensure a smooth, positive and seamless new hire and onboarding experience. Ensure compliance with pre-employment requirements by interpreting background study results, verifying licensure and education, applying state and federal regulations, and partnering with HR stakeholders and operational leaders.

Principle Responsibilities

  • New Hire On-Boarding
    • Conducts and interprets pre-employment verification and background checks (Verified Credential, BCA, DHS, education, license, certification, driver’s license).
    • Tracks pre-employment clearances and enters compliance requirements.
    • Utilizes applicant tracking and HR systems to process new hire pre-employment requirements.
    • Partners with Talent Acquisition team to understand recruitment needs and onboarding priorities.
    • Ensures new hires are meeting job profile
    • Liaison to external vendors in support of pre-employment screening process.
    • Organizes new employee orientation.
    • Provides new hire training details to Learning and Development
    • Organizes new employee orientation and provides high-touch guidance to candidates and new hires to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
  • Compliance, Auditing & Risk Management
    • Partners with HR Compliance, Legal, and Talent Acquisition teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks during the hiring process.
    • Conducts audits of onboarding and recruitment transactions to ensure adherence to compliance standards
    • Periodically runs audit reports of recruitment transactions to ensure compliance and job description standards are met.
    • Ensures compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidelines by reviewing pre-employment background results.
    • Responds to requests from key partners on process changes to ensure they are documented and updated.
  • Data Management, Reporting & Systems
    • Ensures all new hire and transfer information is complete, tracked, and accurately uploaded into HR system.
    • Compiles metrics and reporting data for statistical reporting; prepares and distributes reports.
    • Creates reports utilizing internal systems and programs.
    • Identifies duplicate or inactive candidate profiles in Workday and resolve discrepancies.
    • Initiates HR tickets to activate or correct worker records and communicate with HR Data Management to ensure data accuracy and seamless onboarding experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $24.62 to $33.74 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
