The Merchandising Director of Lifestyle will direct all aspects of regional merchandising for the lifestyle product category in the North American region including line adoption for the region; assortment planning by channel; providing channel and category specific consumer insights at all milestone meetings; represent the sales and market POV in the product creation process. Work with Marketing on catalog creation and Go to Market execution.

Primary Duties:

  • Work with the North American region to identify assortment of lifestyle products, to order sales samples and assist in the creation of initial channel-based forecasts. 

  • Leads the creation of channel-based collections and segmentation strategies with a particular focus on the Tier 2 Athletic Specialty channel as well as Tier 0/1 Independents and department stores that sell lifestyle products. 

  • Represent the POV of the sales teams in product milestone meetings by consolidating and providing feedback on behalf of the NA region. Support them in creating initial projections. 

  • Develop a global network of stakeholders, including buyers, retailers and sales-people that are communicated with regularly to inform, educate, and gather insights to help identify opportunities. Act as the expert on the competition in the market. 

  • Lead pre-lining process with key accounts. 

  • Support sell in, consolidate feedback and report back to the product management team, identify SMU opportunities. 

  • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies. 

  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree required/MBA preferred or equivalent work experience. 

  • 10+ years’ experience in lifestyle footwear retail, sales or merchandising. 

  • Proven leadership skills with at least 6 years’ experience at the manager level. 

  • Proven working knowledge of the athletic specialty (mall), independent lifestyle and sporting goods industry, including technology and product assortments, materials, trends and the overall marketplace. 

  • Extensive product knowledge and understanding of regional markets and competitors. 

  • Strong business acumen, merchandising and analytical skill sets. 

  • Exceptional follow-through skills and attention to detail. 

  • Outstanding communication skills are required, including the ability to manage strong and effective cross functional relationships within the organization. 

  • Proficient in retail math. 

Working Conditions:

Remote working conditions. Some travel may be required.

Salary Minimum

$152,000.00

Salary Maximum

$199,500.00
