Job description

Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in quality work? Ledcor Construction is looking for a motivated and reliable Labourer to join our Building Services Team in Vancouver.

In this role, you’ll take on a variety of restoration, repair, and finishing tasks in both residential and commercial settings. Working under the direction of the Foreperson, you’ll collaborate with your teammates to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform general labour and repair duties on residential and commercial projects.
  • Complete sink, bathtub, countertop, and cabinet repairs.
  • Perform flooring, tile, drywall, and paint touch-ups.
  • Repair walls, doorways, and other interior finishes.
  • Conduct deficiency walk-throughs and complete detailed deficiency reporting.
  • Support damage prevention activities and maintain overall site conditions.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment for the crew, clients, and the public.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in residential or commercial restoration or renovation projects.
  • Experience with stainless steel renewal, stone restoration, weather protection, glass scratch restoration, window sealing, and mullion repair is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Technically proficient with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Intermediate First Aid with Transportation Endorsement, WHMIS, and Fall Protection certification (completed or willingness to obtain).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Working Conditions

  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, lifting (up to 25 pounds), in confined spaces and in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.) 
  • Occasional travel required to site and/or other office locations

Compensation

$24.94 - $32.47 per hour

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
