RESPONSIBILITIES


Position Summary: The Adherence Coordinator will assist the Pharmacy Adherence Manager with organizing all team activities and workflows related to patient adherence to therapy, medication reconciliation, scheduling medication deliveries/pickups, and will also aid in the development of Pharmacy Adherence Technicians. The Adherence Coordinator is responsible for performing routine and non-routine pharmacy technician functions and activities related to the position. The Adherence Coordinator must excel in the following areas: multitasking in multiple software applications, handling multiple phone lines, using medical/pharmacy terminology, and exercising excellent communication skills to successfully interact with all levels of internal and external parties. The Adherence Coordinator will keep open lines of communication with their immediate supervisor/manager and will always be under pharmacist supervision. No patient counseling will be completed by the Adherence Coordinator.
 


QUALIFICATIONS


1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. AA or BS preferred.
2. Previous Experience:
• 3 years’ experience as licensed pharmacy technician in one of the following environments is required: specialty, mail order, retail, or hospital pharmacy.
• 1-year experience within Rx To Go’s Adherence Team is required.
• Previous experience in a coordinator or lead role preferred.

• Interpersonal Effectiveness: Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness. Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
• Customer Service & Organizational Awareness: Strong customer focus. Ability to build an engaging culture of quality, performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices, strong business and political acumen, collaboration and partnerships, as well as a positive employee, physician and community relations.
• Self-Management: Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development. Self-motivated and self-starter with ability work independently with limited supervision. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
• Computer Skills: − Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required.
4. Certifications/Licenses: • Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in state of residence is required and must remain in good standing.
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred.
5. Standard Work Days/Hours: Varies based on team needs but is typically one of the following shifts 8:00am to 4:30pm, 8:30am to 5:00pm, or 9:00am to 5:30pm. Weekend shifts may be required based on team needs and are generally from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
