Looking for an AI Platform Engineer with experience developing and supporting AI, automation, and agentic solutions in the Microsoft or other cloud environments. This role partners with business and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable, and governed AI capabilities that enhance operations and decision-making. This is a full time, salaried, remote position.

Pay Range:

$47.50 - $71.25

Major Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical, and operational business units, to identify opportunities for AI integration and process enhancement. Analyzes business requirements, evaluates technical feasibility, and creates technical recommendations.  
  • Serves as the subject matter expert and internal consultant for AI and agentic platforms, evaluating new capabilities, supporting deployment and integration with infrastructure teams, and advising on embedding AI solutions into business applications and processes. 
  • Prototypes AI agents, applications, and processes that automate routine tasks (for example, using enterprise automation platforms or scripting), demonstrating how AI can streamline workflows across multiple cloud vendors, including Microsoft, Snowflake, and other Enterprise platforms. 
  • Integrates, maintains, and optimizes Microsoft Power Platform environments in support of Copilot and Copilot Studio solutions. This includes Dataverse products, environment lifecycle management, data loss prevention policies, and connector governance while adhering to established change management and application lifecycle management processes.  
  • Integrates AI services with enterprise applications, APIs, MCPs, and data sources. Ensures reliable data flow between platforms and AI models. 
  • Provides end-user and system administration support for AI-enabled collaboration platforms. Serves as an escalation point for associate-level staff for incidents and problems. Initiates root-cause analysis and solves complex platform and application issues.  
  • Supports AI enablement through training and playbook development, delivering hands-on instruction, technical presentations, follow-up sessions, and reusable best-practice guidance to equip technical and non-technical teams to safely and effectively integrate AI into daily workflows. 
  • Participates in the evaluation and design of new AI capabilities and collaboration products. Executes quality assurance and validation processes to ensure proper system operation, optimum performance, and absence of defects.  
  • Works cross-functionally with Cybersecurity, Data Governance, and AI Governance teams to implement and maintain governance processes for agentic solutions, including policy alignment, risk management, and ongoing oversight. 
  • Assures adherence to Advocate Health policies, procedures, and governance standards for AI implementations, including data privacy, security, HIPAA compliance, and responsible AI practices.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Proficiency in cloud-based services supporting AI and agentic functionality, including citizen developer solutions, workflow automation, analytics, and platform administration and configuration across enterprise environments (e.g., Microsoft, Snowflake, Databricks or similar ecosystems). 
  • Experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder models, and AI-enabled Power Platform solutions.  
  • Knowledge of enterprise data integration patterns, including Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, APIs, MCPs, and custom connectors.  
  • Understanding of Azure AI services, generative AI concepts, prompt engineering techniques, and appropriate use of AI services within governed enterprise solutions.  
  • Knowledge of systems administration and the inter-relationships between application code, cloud platforms, and enterprise data systems.  
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and cloud services as used in clinical and/or business settings.  
  • Demonstrated ability to translate user requirements into system specifications and scalable technical architectures.  
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to gather, organize, and present data. Ability to investigate incidents and problems, perform root-cause analysis for routine to moderately complex issues, document findings, and implement corrective actions. 
  • Strong communication skills; demonstrated ability to actively listen and ask clarifying questions. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set appropriate priorities, and accomplish assignments in a thorough and timely manner.  

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the duties of the job.  
  • Position may require off-hours support and on-call rotation.  
  • Position may require travel. May be exposed to road and weather hazards.

  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-200, PL-400, or PL-600) or Microsoft AI certifications (AI-102) preferred.
