The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a highly experienced Senior Advisor to provide strategic and functional leadership supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Integrated Financial and Acquisition Management System (iFAMS) Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contract. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to both government stakeholders and program leadership, leveraging extensive Momentum ERP expertise to guide operational improvements, modernization initiatives, production support, and future implementation efforts.

This individual will bring deep knowledge of Momentum Financials, federal financial management, and ERP implementation best practices while helping drive continuous process improvement across the VA enterprise. The ideal candidate is an accomplished consultant who can operate effectively with executive leadership, functional business owners, technical teams, and implementation partners.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior functional advisor for VA iFAMS Momentum Financials operations and modernization initiatives.
  • Provide strategic guidance on Momentum Financials capabilities, configuration, business processes, and industry best practices.
  • Advise government leadership on system enhancements, operational efficiencies, and long-term roadmap planning.
  • Analyze complex business requirements and recommend scalable, sustainable Momentum solutions.
  • Support production issue analysis, root cause identification, and resolution of complex functional challenges.
  • Lead workshops, executive briefings, and strategic planning sessions with VA stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the impacts of proposed system changes across financial management, procurement, budget, acquisition, and related business processes.
  • Collaborate with technical, functional, testing, training, and change management teams to ensure successful implementation of enhancements.
  • Mentor functional consultants and implementation teams while promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
  • Review solution designs, implementation strategies, and configuration approaches to ensure alignment with federal financial management standards.
  • Support release planning, prioritization activities, and governance boards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, increase automation, and reduce operational risk.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during audits, compliance reviews, and executive reporting activities.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years of experience implementing and supporting Momentum Financials in complex federal environments.
  • Extensive experience supporting full lifecycle ERP implementations, upgrades, and production support.
  • Demonstrated expertise in federal financial management processes.
  • Strong understanding of federal accounting principles and financial operations.
  • Experience working directly with executive government stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into practical system solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing organizational decision-making.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required federal clearances.


Desired:

  • Prior experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs iFAMS program.
  • Experience with federal shared services and financial system modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Treasury requirements, USSGL, GTAS, IPAC, and other federal financial reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with Momentum integrations, interfaces, and reporting solutions.
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery methodologies.
  • PMP, CPA, CGFM, PMI-ACP, or comparable professional certification.
  • Experience working in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) environments supporting large-scale federal ERP systems.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$105,100-$231,100
