Job description

At Surgimate, we help surgical practices protect the revenue already in their pipeline, turning more scheduled cases into completed surgeries. We've built a market-leading digital health product and brand position, counting some of the most reputable surgical practices in the US among our customers. We are excited to bring on innovative & customer centric Mate’s to join us in revolutionizing surgical care!

As an Account Executive, you will significantly contribute to Surgimate’s success by generating and expanding new business with leading surgical practices across the country. You will develop impactful client relationships within the surgical community and use a consultative selling approach to meet sales targets. As an ideal NSR, you are a team player with a genuine curiosity for solving customer challenges, an appetite for utilizing data in your selling story, and a constant motor to break down roadblocks in the sales process. You are also highly ethical, putting the interests and reputation of your prospects and the company first.

As an Account Executive, you report to the Director of Sales, and work closely with Marketing, Customer Experience and Product. This role is fully remote within the US and includes expected travel up to 50%.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the complete B2B sales cycle – including strategic lead generation, qualification, assessment, demo, consultation, negotiation and close. Utilize a consultative, process-driven approach to sales to maintain deal momentum and create genuine client commitment to change.

  • Present Surgimate’s value proposition, showing practices how to protect surgical revenue and improve throughput from order to OR, both virtually and onsite.

  • Provide proactive identification of needs and pain points for practices through workflow and KPI analysis, surfacing risks like cancellations and conversion gaps early, and demonstrate Surgimate’s unique value-add in solving them.

  • Cultivate relationships and build trust with stakeholders including C-Suite, medical providers, and a wide range of clinical, office support and administrative staff – tailoring the message to what each audience cares about most, from revenue and predictable performance for leadership to fast, dependable workflows for coordinators.

  • Collaborate closely with our marketing and SDR team to ideate and execute lead generation strategy, including engaging in self-driven prospecting activities.

  • Maintain pipeline hygiene and predictability including regular accurate forecasts, detailed communications and note taking in our CRM (Salesforce).

  • Regularly travel to onsite activities such as prospect/client visits, industry conferences, and team meetups.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the surgical space including overall trends and challenges.

About you:

  • 5 years of experience selling SaaS solutions

  • Preferred Experience: Selling enterprise software to US surgical practices (orthopedic, ophthalmology, ENT, urology); Selling Electronic Health Record systems / Practice Management Systems / Revenue Cycle Management Systems

  • You’re a confident seller with executive communication presence and presentation skills – both in person and virtually.

  • You have a knack for storytelling with data and ROI around surgical revenue, conversion, and throughput, breaking down processes, and identifying opportunities to add value.

  • You have proven ability to build strong customer relationships, including with organization C-Suites.

  • You bring a positive, self driven and resilient attitude to contribute to the team and culture.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
