Job description

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced non-IT Project Manager to lead high-impact business initiatives that support our ambitious growth strategy and strengthen our position in key global markets.

 

This is an opportunity to work at the centre of business transformation, partnering with leaders across Commercial, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Continuous Improvement functions. You'll deliver strategic projects that improve performance, enhance customer value, and enable organisational change.

 

As part of a growing Project Management Centre of Excellence (CoE), you will help establish project management best practices, develop scalable frameworks and tools, and build organisational capability. From commercial excellence programmes and CRM optimisation to process improvements and new ways of working, you will play a key role in delivering initiatives that directly support ABS's strategic objectives.

 

This role is ideal for a commercially minded project professional who thrives in complex environments, enjoys influencing stakeholders, and is passionate about turning strategy into measurable business results.

 
The salary range for this position is $110,000 – $130,000 USD
 
The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
You Will:
  • Lead, plan, monitor, and execute cross-functional internal projects from initiation through completion.
  • Serve as a project expert across ABS, providing guidance and best practices to teams with varying PM maturity.
  • Build, refine, and implement project management toolkits, standards, and methodologies for the PM CoE.
  • Lead projects involving transformational work across commercial operations, supply chain, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor project performance, manage risks, and recommend schedule, resource, and cost adjustments.
  • Report progress, resolve issues, and build strong working relationships across global teams.
  • Manage up to five concurrent projects at a time.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information and create alignment among diverse stakeholders.
  • Act as a resource and mentor to colleagues with less project experience.
  • Champion and support change management efforts across the business.
Requirements:
  • Demonstratable experience of managing business projects and not IT or digital projects
  • Progressive experience in project management (formal PM background not required).
  • Demonstrated consistent usage of tools to drive the conversation and adoption of best practice and PM tooling including the adoption of augmented tools
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across commercial, supply chain, or related areas.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders—especially in situations where initial alignment was low.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive outcomes in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Authorized to work in the country of residence without sponsorship (as applicable).
  • Experience leading transformational or organizational change initiatives.
  • Experience in a commercial organization or supply chain function.
  • Prior exposure to continuous improvement, value delivery frameworks, or PMO/CoE environments.
