We compared the job requirements to your profile to show where you're strong and where you fall short.
Kit is an email-first operating system for creators who mean business. We help creators grow and monetize their audience with ease. For coaches, YouTubers, authors, podcasters, and other creatives, there isn't a better marketing hub to rely on to grow audiences, automate email marketing, and sell digital products — all within one platform.
More importantly, there isn't a team more committed to helping creators earn a living. We're on a mission to help creators earn $1 billion using our creator marketing platform. We have always been 100% independent and 100% remote.
We are proud to have built a product that our customers love, and we look for people who have enthusiasm and belief in our mission, vision, and values to join our team. We're also embracing AI thoughtfully — both in how we build and how we hire to ensure our team is adaptable, innovative, and ready for what's next.
We believe a great creator experience begins with onboarding. For a lot of creators, migration is their first real experience with Kit, and it shapes how they feel about us from here on out. Creator success is our success, so we care just as much about how a migration feels to the creator as we do about how it’s completed technically.
We’re looking for 1-2 Migration Specialists to work with our Implementations Team to migrate new Kit customers onto our platform.
This is a part-time contract position ideal for someone who loves the tech side of email marketing and enjoys diving into the complexities of integrations and discovering what’s possible with Kit.
If you have a knack for breaking down the details with customers and collaborating to help them make informed decisions, we encourage you to apply.
You’ll report to KC Procter and collaborate closely with our Implementations Team, including the Migration Admins and other Migration Specialists, as well as Customer Support.
First Week: Dive into our onboarding curriculum in Notion and learn about Kit’s product ecosystem. Get access to key tools: Arrows, Slack, HubSpot, and other key tools. Review standard migration SOPs and reference docs.
Within the First Month: Take ownership of your first solo migrations — CSV imports, form/landing page rebuilds, and automation recreation for a standard-complexity account.
Skills
Working knowledge of Kit's platform: Visual Automation builder, forms/landing pages, tagging, sequences, and API v4 basics
CSV data handling and subscriber/tag mapping across source platforms
Deliverability fundamentals — domain authentication, send history review, warm-up planning
Clear written and verbal communication with creators, including comfort on Zoom/Loom for walkthroughs
Familiarity with multiple ESP platforms (Kajabi, Beehiiv, ActiveCampaign, Flodesk, Substack, GoHighLevel, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or Infusionsoft/Keap)
Comfort working async and asynchronously across a project portal (Arrows), Slack, email
Experiences
Prior experience with email marketing platform migrations or technical onboarding
Experience managing multiple concurrent client projects with individual timelines
Background supporting technically complex accounts (multiple integrations, custom automations, large lists)
Experience working directly with creators or small businesses on customer-facing technical work
Comfort with project-based/contract work and invoicing
Traits
Proactive communicator — flags unresponsive creators, at-risk timelines, and scope creep early rather than waiting to be asked
Detail-oriented — catches mapping errors and scope gaps before they become customer-facing problems
Comfortable with ambiguity across different tech stacks and account complexity levels
Empathetic but maintains professional boundaries with creators — holds deadlines and process while staying warm
Reliable and self-managing, since this is project-based work without close day-to-day supervision
Needing heavy day-to-day oversight to manage a caseload of concurrent, differently-paced projects
Discomfort setting and holding deadlines with non-technical or unresponsive customers
Rigid attachment to one platform's way of doing things — every migration source stack is a little different
Treating deliverability or QA as optional steps rather than core parts of the deliverable
Inconsistent availability — since pay is tied to completed milestones, unpredictable bandwidth affects both the contractor and the team's coverage
Losing sight of the bigger picture — for a lot of creators, migration is their first real experience with Kit, and it shapes how they feel about us from here on out. Creator success is our success, so we care just as much about how a migration feels to the creator as we do about whether it's technically complete
100% remote, project-based. We work with creators from all over the world, but our team is online mostly during East Coast business hours.
This is a part-time, six-month contractor position. Migrations are compensated based on projects completed; the average migration pays between $150 - $800, depending on the scope and complexity of the project, including:
Forms and Landing Pages
Visual Automations and Sequences
Email Templates

Warm-up plans
We usually receive a large number of applications, and our goal is to follow up with you within two weeks. You’ll hear from us either way. Here’s what you can expect from the rest of our hiring process:
Hiring manager interview (30 min)
Panel interview (45 min)
We’ll keep you informed through every step. To get started, complete this application, including a cover letter and answers to the questions on the next page. We read every single application, and your cover letter and responses help put your experience into context.
Kit is an equal opportunity employer
We value diversity in all of its forms. Research tells us that applicants who are female or non-binary, as well as applicants who are people of color, are less likely to apply for roles they do not feel 100% qualified for. If you think you meet more than 50% of our requirements but fewer than 100% of them, please apply.
We’re imperfect communicators, so think of our job postings as the starting point for discussion rather than proof that you shouldn’t apply.
Kit does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other reason prohibited by law in provision of employment opportunities and benefits.
After you apply, unlock the direct contact details of the people who actually make the call. A quick follow-up makes you 5x more likely to land an interview.
