About the role

We’re looking for a bright web specialist with well-rounded digital skills in website editing using a CMS, a strong sense of what makes a good user experience and an understanding of SEO best-practice.

You’ll be joining a talented team in a fast-paced environment and will be getting stuck in straight away so we’re looking for someone who is collaborative and strives to achieve commercial goals.

Working closely with the web team in your business area, you’ll get into the detail of optimising user journeys, implementing SEO best-practice and working in an agile and efficient way.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a couple of years of digital marketing experience under their belt and wants to develop their skills further by getting hands-on with a real commercial focus and see the hard work come to fruition in the numbers.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the wider web team to drive lead generation through creating best in class user experiences on commercial websites
  • Create and edit pages on the website using the CMS, following UX and SEO best-practice
  • Conduct analysis of website and SEO performance to demonstrate growth and opportunities for further optimisation
  • Implement SEO initiatives in collaboration with the web team and wider marketing squad
  • Create SEO briefs for content writers
  • Implement A/B testing in line with the plans set out by the Web Lead and wider marketing squad
  • Implement pop ups in line with the plans set out by the Web Lead and wider marketing squad
  • Support with campaign landing page builds for wider marketing team and paid media team

Experience and skills

  • Use and experience of various CMS – Umbraco not essential but is a bonus
  • Data literate and good numeracy skills – demonstrated by ability to report on performance in an accurate and accessible way
  • Experience in using a wide range of digital tool (GA, Search Console, Optimize or similar, SEMrush or similar, Heatmapping e.g. Hotjar, Looker Studio or similar)
  • Some experience in the technical, on- and off-page aspects of SEO
  • Some experience in UX and on-site optimisation (CRO)
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • Self-starter and committed to on-going learning and development​

KPIs

  • Page updates in the CMS
  • Conversion rates, leads and quality of leads
  • Organic traffic
  • Average keyword rankings in topic area
  • Impressions clicks and CTR%
  • Implement A/B tests
