Job description

Centene is transforming the health of our communities one person at a time.  As an Executive on our team, you could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members.
 

    Position Purpose: Leads the delivery and continuous improvement engine of the Enterprise Change Enablement Office. Brings together program and project management discipline and process improvement capability into one function that helps Mission Simplify move with rigor, coordination, and measurable impact. The role owns the delivery methodology, portfolio visibility, project coordination model, dependency management, continuous improvement methods, and the problem-solving discipline the enterprise needs to turn transformation strategy into executed outcomes.

    Plays a builder-operator role with deep operational experience, a genuine process-improvement mindset, and a get-it-done orientation. Leads a team that partners directly with workstream leads. Success is measured by how well the function helps others deliver through structure, visibility, and improvement discipline, while ensuring accountability remains with the business

    • Leads the Director of Change Enablement and eight Program Managers, each aligned to a transformation workstream business lead
    • Owns the Enterprise Change delivery methodology; aligns it with the current L-gate program life cycle, playbook, and template library
    • Manages escalations bringing portfolio-level risks to the Chief Transformation Officer
    • Facilitates the Portfolio Execution Review with the Chief Transformation Officer and Director of Change Enablement
    • Conducts regular performance reviews and provides ongoing coaching for all Program Managers
    • Establishes and sustains continuous improvement methods that help teams simplify work, reduce waste, solve recurring problems, and sustain measurable improvement
    • Identifies, establishes, and quantifies measurable business benefits (financial and non-financial) realized through the function, and reports portfolio KPI and ROI performance to the Chief Transformation Officer
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Comply with all policies and standards

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field required.
    • Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Change Management, Business Strategy, Psychology, or a closely related discipline preferred.
    • Certifications in Change Management methodologies (e.g., PROSCI, CCMP) are highly desired.
    • Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

    Pay Range: $227,700.00 - $431,400.00 per year

    Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
