Certified Pharmacy Technician, Inbound Phones - Accredo Specialty Pharmacy - Remote, TN

We're looking for energetic and detail-oriented pharmacy technician associate representatives to join our team.

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, residing in TN, you will Work from home, assisting patients in receiving life sustaining medications to help manage rare and/or chronic diseases. You’ll be empowered to engage patients, insurance companies, and multiple departments to process Prescription orders and ensure timely shipment of medications. This role is very detail oriented, and you’ll spend the majority of your day working on our computer system entering data and talking on the phone.

Shift:

Training, 8a – 4:30p CST, Mon – Fri.

Post Training, 10a – 7p CST, Mon – Fri.

What you’ll do:

• Receive, document, and process verbal prescriptions, clarifications, provider updates, and required prescription details in pharmacy systems.
• Verify orders for accuracy, flag missing or conflicting information, and escalate clinical questions or concerns to pharmacists.
• Manage inbound calls from patients, providers, healthcare professionals, and caregivers while providing prescription status, coverage details, and next steps.
• Update, reconcile, and maintain patient demographics, insurance, health information, and interaction records in accordance with HIPAA and company standards.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, insurers, fulfillment, operations, and internal teams to resolve prescription, claims, coverage, and shipment issues.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license & national certification.
• Must reside within Tennessee.
• 1+ year(s) of customer service experience.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 18 - 27 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
