Executive Director of Investigator Development

ObjectiveHealth is seeking an Executive Director of Investigator Development to drive Clinical Research Investigator onboarding and readiness, foster strong relationship, and ensures alignment with organizational goals to support successful clinical trial execution and delivery. This role is responsible for training and developing a high-performing investigator network through mentoring engagement, and performance optimization. Additionally, the role assumes Sub-investigator responsibilities as required to ensure operational continuity, respond to workforce demands and capitalize on strategic study opportunities.

 Key Responsibilities: 

• Partner with executive leadership to identify and develop future Investigators and research providers. 
• Engages with new and emerging investigators to provide clear and accurate understanding of investigator responsibilities, expectations, and associate time commitments.  
• Lead training and mentorship programs for new Principal Investigators and Sub-Investigators across the organization. 
• Assess investigator readiness and provide individualized mentoring to support successful conduct of clinical trials. 
• Facilitate mentoring related to sponsor requirements and emerging industry best practices. 
• Serve as subject matter expert in clinical research regulations, investigator responsibilities, and GCP compliance. 
• Serve as a resource for investigators regarding protocol interpretation, study procedures, eligibility assessments, and participant management. 
• Serve as a resource for investigators with CRIO. 
• Participate in sponsor visits, Site Initiation Visits (SIVs), monitoring visits, audits, and regulatory inspections as needed. 
• Support and perform patient care activities including informed consent, physical assessments, blood draws, biological specimen handling, medication administration, FibroScans, ECGs, and other protocol-required procedures as needed. 
• Investigate, track, and report Adverse Events (AEs) and Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) as instructed by the study sponsor. 
• Monitor investigator effectiveness through performance metrics, quality indicators, audit findings, and compliance outcomes. 
• Partners with stakeholders to identify and implement necessary updates to SOPs and policies affecting investigator roles, accountabilities, and operational requirements.  
• Attend investigator meetings and study-related training sessions as required by study sponsors. 
• Review scientific literature, participate in continuing education activities, and attend industry conferences and seminars to maintain and enhance professional knowledge. 

 Qualifications:

• Must have and maintain licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) and be willing to work on multi state licensure as appropriate 
• Prior experience in clinical research, preferably in a clinical role. Two years of experience in industry-funded clinical research 
• Experience serving as a Sub I for Phase 2-3 clinical trials 
• Experience with EMR systems and/or EDC systems 
• Knowledge of biological and medical terminology 
• Ability to travel up to 40%
