Red Nucleus is hiring a Client Engagement Manager to join our global Medical Communications team! This is a home-based position within the US or Canada, or if within a commutable distance to one of our offices (Toronto, San Francisco, Boston, or Yardley, PA, the role would be hybrid based.

Job Overview 

 

The Client Engagement Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day client relationships and leading the successful execution of medical communications programs across assigned accounts and projects. This role serves as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring initiatives are strategically aligned, delivered on time and within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. 

 

The Client Engagement Manager articulates the client’s vision for each project, translates objectives into clear direction for internal teams, and ensures deliverables align to agreed strategies, metrics, and regulatory requirements. This individual thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, demonstrates strong judgment and attention to detail, and is viewed by clients and colleagues as a dependable, solutions-oriented partner. 

 

 

Responsibilities: 



Under the guidance of a Client Engagement Director, the Client Engagement Manager is responsible for 



    • Serving as the primary day-to-day client contact for assigned accounts and projects, delivering consistently high levels of client service. 
    • Leading execution of medical communications programs from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery to scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards. 
    • Leading regular client status meetings, preparing agendas, status updates, and meeting recaps with timely follow-up. 
    • Collaborating closely with Creative, Editorial, Digital, Project to manage day-to-day execution. 
    • Review deliverables to ensure alignment to client objectives and feedback as well as compliant with regulatory guidance and client processes as applicable. 
    • Managing project and account financials, including budget tracking, invoicing, reconciliations, and identification of scope changes. 
    • Developing and managing change orders and supporting proposal and SOW development as needed 
    • Ensuring adherence to agency and client SOPs, compliance requirements, and industry regulations (e.g., PhRMA, Open Payments). 
    • Supervising and supporting the medical/regulatory/legal (MLR) review process, including document submission systems (e.g., Veeva). 
    • Participating in onsite client meetings, advisory boards, congress activities, and speaker programs as needed. 
    • Coaching and supporting junior team members providing guidance, feedback, and workload prioritization. 
    • Contributing to organic growth through identification of new opportunities and support of business development efforts. 



Education and Experience  



 

Education 



    • Bachelor’s degree required (Communications, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field preferred). Advanced degree a plus. 

 

Experience 



    • 4-6+ years of experience in medical communications, medical education, pharma marketing, or related fields. 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 



    • Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, therapeutic landscapes, and drug development process 
    • Financial acumen including forecasting, SOW development, and profitability management 
    • Strong client communication and relationship management skills 
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment 
    • Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance 
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams 
    • High attention to detail with commitment to quality and compliance 
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems 
    • Familiarity with document submission systems (e.g., Veeva PromoMats) preferred
