We’re looking for a talented Automation Engineer to join our R&D group. As an integral part of the team, you will play a key role in enhancing and scaling our automation infrastructure, bringing Firefly's automation framework to the next level. Your responsibilities will include designing automated tests to ensure optimal product quality and health, identifying and troubleshooting bugs, and closely collaborating with our software design and platform teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate within a highly agile, dynamic team.
• Contribute to the development of automated testing and validation processes in cloud-based environments within R&D.
• Participate in designing infrastructure and systems for testing scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Utilize the latest technology to manage and expand high-performance, high-scale automation frameworks on AWS and Google Cloud, leveraging modern tools like Kubernetes and other testing frameworks.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage, security, monitoring, alerting, and reporting for automated processes.
• Collaborate closely with the product team to align testing with feature requirements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Python within an Automation framework.
• Self-driven and responsible, with a “can-do” attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication abilities.
• Significant experience in developing and utilizing automated testing frameworks and optimizing for scalability and performance in testing environments.
• Previous experience in a SaaS company, with a strong understanding of cloud-based testing needs.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and technologies like Terraform and Helm Chart—an advantage.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch)—an advantage.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture and modern system design principles—experience with AWS or GCP preferred.
