SQL Server DBA (Azure Cloud) | 5+ Years | India Night Shift – US Client Support

Location: India (Tamil Nadu candidates preferred)
Experience: 5+ Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: India Night Shift (aligned with US business hours)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (Azure Cloud) to manage and support mission-critical databases for our US-based clients. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server administration, Azure SQL services, performance tuning, High Availability/Disaster Recovery, and production incident management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 across Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and Azure VMs
  • Handle installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, and recovery
  • Implement and support Always On Availability Groups, Replication, Log Shipping, and DR
  • Monitor and optimize performance — queries, indexes, execution plans
  • Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, and production bottlenecks (L2/L3 support)
  • Manage incidents via ServiceNow, Jira, or Azure DevOps
  • Prepare WSRs, RCA documents, and technical documentation
  • Automate DBA tasks using T-SQL/PowerShell

Required Skills

  • 5+ years SQL Server DBA experience, including Azure SQL Database/Managed Instance/VMs
  • Performance tuning, HA/DR (Always On Availability Groups), backup & recovery
  • Database security, SQL Agent Jobs, T-SQL/PowerShell scripting
  • Azure Monitor & Log Analytics; L2/L3 production support
  • Strong ticketing (ServiceNow/Jira/Azure DevOps) and reporting discipline

Preferred Certifications: DP-300, AZ-104, AZ-900, DP-900

Mandatory Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting enterprise production databases
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Willingness to work India Night Shift supporting US clients
