We help organizations manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance, improve operational performance, and advance sustainability initiatives. Our solutions enable customers to automate critical processes, monitor emissions, manage chemical data, and maintain compliance across global operations.

We are seeking a Data Developer to join our Data Content Development team. In this role, you will work closely with software developers, regulatory analysts, and product teams to design, develop, and maintain data solutions that support Sphera's product stewardship and regulatory compliance applications.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with experience in C# and SQL who enjoys working with complex datasets and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions. An interest in regulatory compliance, chemical data, or sustainability-related domains is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data-driven solutions within existing application frameworks.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into efficient, scalable implementations.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and data transformation processes.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and data-related issues.
  • Collaborate with regulatory analysts and cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Contribute to system enhancements, performance improvements, and ongoing product development initiatives.
  • Participate in estimation, planning, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support the maintenance and evolution of large-scale regulatory data products.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software development using object-oriented programming languages, preferably C#.
  • Strong experience working with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience designing and supporting data-centric applications.
  • Familiarity with large datasets and data processing concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with big data technologies and data management practices.
  • Knowledge of XML, XSLT, Oracle Database, and Git.
  • Experience writing technical specifications and documentation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, chemical, environmental, or product stewardship domains.
  • Ability to work with multilingual datasets.
