Fi

IT Services & IT Consulting

Fi is rethinking the relationship between dogs and humans. We build products for your dog to live their best life. We are full of experienced, passionate people that have built and shipped outstanding products for Nest, Square, Google and Uber who all care about their dogs. Together, we're bringing a digital revolution to the dog space. Today's collars and leashes are relics from the past; nothing has changed since the 80's. We're using technology to improve the dog space and affect the lives of the 100 million dogs living in the US for the better. The hardest part about being a dog owner is they can't tell you when something is wrong. Fi aims to change that; even by knowing what their 'normal' day of activity is, we're already learning so much more about our dogs than we ever could before. And we're not stopping there. We're looking for people to join us who love a good challenge—and of course, dogs. We set the bar high at Fi. In our world, "impossible" means "let me find a way". We are looking for people to join us who enjoy hard challenges and love what they do. We set the bar high - in our world, "impossible" means "let me find a way."

Job description

Welcome to Fi.

We’re a passionate team from Square, Google, Oura, Peloton, Uber, and more working to transform the human-pet relationship. Our mission? Develop cutting-edge technology to revolutionize what it means to be a pet parent. The pet industry remains firmly stuck in the past and we are here to change that. Fi is leveraging our team's talent and expertise to improve the lives of millions of pets in the U.S. Real-time location tracking, activity, sleep and behavior monitoring – and that's just the beginning.

The most exciting aspect of our work? Bridging the communication gap between pets and humans. Imagine a world where everyone knows how their pet feels in real time and how to keep their best friend in good shape. That's the future we're building at Fi.

If you're someone who thrives in innovative, collaborative work environments and feels strongly about helping pets live longer, better lives, Fi could be the perfect fit. Join us in our pursuit of the “impossible,” or as we call it here “let me find a way,” to redefine the future of pet ownership together.

Fi is looking for a Rescue Program Intern!

Through Fi's rescue program, 300+ shelters and rescue organizations across the country put a Fi Mini GPS tracker on every dog in their care, so dogs stay safe from kennel to couch and adopters take home a dog that's already protected. This internship puts you at the center of that program. You won't be getting coffee or sitting quietly in meetings. From week one, you're running real workflows that rescues across the country depend on, working directly with the program's leadership.

What You'll Do:
  • Own the rescue order queue. Review incoming GPS tracker and microchip orders from rescue partners, apply our approval playbook (activation history, right-sizing, inventory), and make the approve/reject call, with real budget and inventory on the line.
  • Onboard new rescue partners. Triage new program applications, send onboarding materials, and run live activation calls that get a rescue from "just signed up" to "every dog tracked."
  • Be the voice of the program. Manage day to day email with rescue partners, activation follow ups, order questions, program guidance, representing Fi to organizations saving thousands of dogs a year.
  • Triage support escalations. Work rescue program support tickets alongside our CX team, investigating account issues in our CRM and getting partners unstuck.
  • Keep the CRM sharp. Maintain clean partner records in Close, flag data issues, and keep the pipeline accurate for the whole team.
  • Support campaigns and events. Coordinate device and swag shipments for giveaways, adoption events, and partner promotions.
  • Contribute to strategy. Help research and build target lists of large rescue organizations as we scale the program nationally.
  • Build with AI. Use tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and our internal AI stack to automate the repetitive parts of the job: drafting partner emails, triaging the order queue, building reports and small internal tools. If you find yourself doing something manually three times, we expect you to build a way to stop.

  • What You'll Bring:
  • Current college student or recent grad; business, marketing, communications, or animal science backgrounds all welcome
  • Organized and reliable. You can run a daily queue without dropping balls
  • A clear, friendly writer, comfortable emailing external partners
  • Sound judgment. You can follow a playbook, and you know when to flag the weird cases instead of guessing
  • AI savvy. You already use tools like ChatGPT or Claude to work faster, and you want to build automations and lightweight tools, not just use them. No CS degree required, just curiosity and a builder's instinct
  • Comfortable picking up new tools fast (CRM, Slack, internal admin systems)
  • Bonus: you love dogs, or you've volunteered with a shelter or rescue
