Business Analyst

The Business Analyst for the Analytics and Operations team focuses on leveraging analytics and operations expertise to identify opportunities for process improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and support strategic decision making. Serves as a change agent for the development and implementation of major process improvement initiatives throughout the division.  Assists driving process improvement initiatives that create long-term cost savings and efficiencies with the strongest return on investment (ROI).  


Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:  Data Analysis and Reporting:  

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.  
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for performance tracking.  
  • Provide informational updates to various division applications and tools to drive efficiency.   
  • Assists in deep-dive business analysis and initiatives targeted to drive growth and operational excellence.  
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership at various levels. 

Process Improvement: 

  • Responsible for coordinating business and process improvements in all areas of divisional operations. 
  • Oversee and participate in large cross-functional working sessions or meetings to align strategy and plan while also providing continuous improvement coaching and mentoring to team members. 
  • Assess existing workflows, systems, and processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization.  
  • Design and implement streamlined processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.  
  • Monitor the impact of process changes and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.  
  • Maintains knowledge of industry best practices for Kaizen methodology and project management.  

Operational Support:  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with business objectives.  
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.  
  • Support project management activities, including planning, execution, and post-implementation reviews.  

Project Engagement:  

  • Serve as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and leadership to gather requirements and provide solutions.  
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand challenges and drive alignment.  
  • Deliver training and support for process changes and system enhancements.  
  • Assists in driving the organization toward and sustaining a culture of customer centricity.  

Strategic Initiatives:  

  • Partner with leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for success.  
  • Contribute to the development of business cases for new tools, technologies, or strategies.  
  • Support organizational change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions.  
  • Develop and communicate divisional level strategies and innovation opportunities to executives that may include new business opportunities and competitive positioning.  
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of current products and services offered by the company.  
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and functions within the guidelines of HIPAA.  
  • Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.  
  • Maintains compliance with AdaptHealth’s Compliance Program and applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols.  
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.  


Competency, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.  methodology and other process improvement methodologies  
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.  
  • Experience with process mapping tools like Visio or Lucid chart.  
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira, Trello, or MS Project).  
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.  
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.  
  • Proactive problem-solving and attention to detail.  
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.  
  • Independent thinker and decision maker  
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.  
  • Solid ability to learn new technologies and possess the technical aptitude required to understand flow of data through systems as well as system interaction.  



Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, public administration, or relevant discipline from an accredited college preferred.   
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience required in business management systems, process improvements, or project management.  
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (PMP, Agile) preferred.  
  • Experience in change management and process automation technologies.  

Physical Demands and Work Environment:  

  • Work environment will be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate.  
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.  
  • Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen.  
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.  
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed.  
  • Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.  
  • May be exposed to angry or irate customers or patients.  
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with internal and external customers with the ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, courtesy, and respect for privacy.  
  • May be required to travel as needed.  

 Compensation: $38,000-45,000 based on experience
