Job description

Transform Mental Health for Youth and Adults with Daybreak Health — Inland Empire Clinicians Welcome

Overview

Join our mission to make quality mental healthcare accessible to every young person and family who needs it. At Daybreak Health, you'll be part of a movement dedicated to removing barriers to care and empowering both teens and adults to thrive emotionally and mentally.

We partner with over 60 school districts—including Kaiser Permanente—reaching more than one million students nationwide, and we've now expanded to serve adults as well. We're actively growing our clinician network across the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino counties) and would love to connect with local licensed clinicians ready to make an impact—fully remotely, on their own schedule. Our clinicians enjoy the stability of consistent referrals and a meaningful, diverse caseload, allowing you to focus on what matters most: making a real difference in people's lives, at every stage.

We're seeking compassionate, licensed mental health clinicians to provide teletherapy throughout California to a caseload primarily made up of youth ages 11–24, with the opportunity to also serve adult clients ages 18–60. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to help clients thrive. Every session you lead has the power to change someone's trajectory—and that's just the beginning of the impact you'll make.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $75–$95 per session, plus guaranteed pay for no-shows and late cancellations.
  • Flexible & Growing Caseload: We're looking for clinicians who can offer strong weekly availability to meet the high demand for care. While 5 sessions per week is the minimum, we encourage clinicians to provide 10+ sessions per week, and we'll work with you to build toward a full, consistent caseload as you settle in—drawing from both our teen/young adult population and our newly expanded adult client base.
  • Independent Contractor (1099) Flexibility: Work on your own terms, with the freedom to build a caseload and schedule that fits your lifestyle and career goals—no commute required, even if you're based right here in the Inland Empire.

Flexibility & Clinical Support

  • Fully Remote: Work from anywhere in the U.S.—including from home in Riverside, San Bernardino, or anywhere nearby.
  • Flexible Schedule: Set your hours Monday–Friday, 3–8 PM PST, with optional weekends 9 AM–5 PM PST. As we grow our adult population, your hours can flex beyond this window to accommodate a broader range of client schedules—though we still prioritize clinicians with strong availability during our core 3–8 PM PST window, since that's when demand is highest.
  • Administrative Support: We handle billing, credentialing, and scheduling—so you can focus on care.
  • Supportive Clinical Community: Peer consultation, collaborative networks, and team discussions.
  • Professional Development: Continuing education credits, paid clinical consultation, and ongoing training.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Foster strong, supportive relationships with clients across age groups to create a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Provide evidence-based individual teletherapy primarily to clients ages 11–24 experiencing mild-to-moderate mental health conditions, with the opportunity to also serve adult clients ages 18–60.
  • Provide psychoeducation to parents/caregivers of younger clients.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional with LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP credentials in the State of California.
  • Passion for mental health across the lifespan: Demonstrated commitment to providing culturally responsive, equitable care that honors diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Experience working with teens and youth ages 11-24 in clinical or school settings; experience with adult populations is a plus.
  • Comfortable with telehealth: Experience providing telehealth services.

Please note: This role is open to fully licensed clinicians only; associate and provisionally licensed clinicians are not eligible.
