About the role 

As a Senior Editor, Food and Homeware, you will lead a dedicated content squad focused on driving traffic, brand awareness and audience engagement for leading brands across food, chocolate/confectionery and homeware. Based in the UK, you will own editorial strategy end-to-end for the EMEA region: from search-optimised content planning and creative direction through to performance reporting and client partnership. 


What you’ll do 

  • Lead a content squad of writers, creatives and performance experts, setting clear direction and maintaining an exceptionally high standard of output. 
  • Develop and lead search-optimised content plans across food, confectionery and homeware brands, with a focus on performance, evergreen content, and seasonal peaks in interest. 
  • Work closely with the Search and Insights team to identify content opportunities, develop keyword strategies and create content that captures and engages target audiences. 
  • Audit existing web content and continuously improve it for quality, performance and discoverability. 
  • Advise on UX and UI and how editorial content integrates with and supports the broader digital experience, ensuring content works hard across every touchpoint. 
  • Advise and strategise how to win in AI visibility, helping brands strengthen their presence and citation within LLM-generated answers, AI overviews and emerging AI-powered search surfaces. 
  • Work closely with social and PR teams to ensure content is amplified effectively, narratives are aligned across channels, and editorial output supports wider brand campaigns. 
  • Develop and lead multi-market content strategies, adapting content and messaging for different regions and audiences with cultural precision. 
  • Develop tone of voice documents and act as guardian for the written word across all brand platforms. 
  • Lead internal brainstorms and creative editorial sessions to develop compelling ideas that meet business objectives. 
  • Liaise with creative and production teams on all edited assets, ensuring smooth, on-time delivery. 
  • Upskill and train internal teams on content best practice, articulating clearly what great looks like and how to achieve it. 
  • Lead on performance reporting back to the client and internal stakeholders, using insights to inform and evolve ongoing strategy. 
  • Contribute editorial expertise to projects across Greenpark's wider client portfolio as needed, applying the same strategic rigour to new categories including healthcare and luxury.



About you 

  • At least 5 years in a lead editorial role on a consumer-facing website, including hands-on editing experience and a strong working knowledge of search and AI. 
  • Deep knowledge of the food, confectionery and homeware sectors; experience writing and editing food content is essential, and familiarity with homeware, home fragrance or lifestyle content is a strong advantage. 
  • Experience working across both B2B and B2C audiences, with a clear understanding of how content strategy, tone and objectives shift between the two. 
  • Experience in omnichannel content strategy and planning, with a track record of leading teams in multi-platform content creation. 
  • A solid understanding of how large language models (LLMs) work and the growing role of content in AI visibility, AI Overviews and LLM-generated discovery. 
  • Experience advising on UX and UI, understanding how editorial content and digital experience intersect, and how to brief and influence design and product teams accordingly. 
  • Proven experience collaborating with social and PR teams to align content, amplify brand messaging and ensure cross-channel coherence. 
  • Experience working across multiple markets, with the ability to develop content strategies that scale internationally. Experience in localisation and transcreation is a plus. 
  • Comfort working across different categories and sectors. Greenpark's portfolio spans food, homeware, healthcare, luxury and beyond, and an adaptable editorial sensibility, and the willingness to flex into new briefs when needed, will stand you in good stead. 
  • Experience working closely with and managing FMCG client stakeholders, with the confidence to present strategy and push creative thinking. 
  • Excellent understanding of web insights and reporting, including social listening and competitor benchmarking. Proficiency in SEMrush and Google Analytics is preferred. 
  • Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills, with the ability to create and shape impactful copy for web and beyond.
