JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Legal Technology Specialist is generally responsible for administering all current technology employed by the Legal Department and evaluating, implementing, and administering all new technology, and will have specific responsibility for coordinating all internal and external eDiscovery efforts required to support all active and potential disputes and litigation facing the company, including coordinating legal holds, data processing, document production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Legal Technology:
• Manage all aspects of legal hold eDiscovery technology in support of the Litigation and Labor & Employment groups
• Administer and support all Legal Department technology used by members of the Legal Department, including but not limited to contract management, eBilling, vendor management, e-Signature, SharePoint, Teams, and O365
• Evaluate and make necessary changes to existing Legal Department website to allow for expanded self-serve capabilities for the Department’s internal customers
• Collaborate with IT function to ensure all technology employed by the Legal Department complies with all security requirements of the company
• Develop materials and internal trainings to develop technological capabilities of Legal Department personnel
eDiscovery:
• Develop and maintain consistent, efficient, cost-effective, and defensible eDiscovery processes, including data preservation, collection, processing, review and production
• Assess and make any necessary changes to the current procedures employed by the Litigation and Labor & Employment groups in connection with all legal hold and electronic discovery aspects of company disputes and litigation
• Act as liaison to the IT function in all aspects of the legal hold and eDiscovery processes and work to streamline and improve upon these processes, including implementing solutions to integrate existing company systems, such as Workday, O365, ServiceNow, and other internal proprietary systems
• Develop and maintain systems to track metrics for key performance indicators associated with litigation and other matters managed by the Legal Department
• Coordinate with law firms and alternative legal service providers to establish and maintain cost-effective and compliant eDiscovery practices in connection with all disputes and litigation

• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Sr. Associate General Counsel
• Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS


• Knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), processing platforms (e.g., EnCase, Nuix, Recommind, etc.), review platforms (Relativity, Inview, Accelerate, etc.) and electronic file processing and Internet-based repositories
• Knowledge of project management methodology, analysis, and process design
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of data processing/culling technologies and procedures, hosted document review solutions and platforms;
• General familiarity with the litigation support ecosystem - both tools and vendors;
• General familiarity with SQ and Boolean queries;
• Experience working under tight deadlines in fast-paced data production environments
• Knowledge of general database, networking, and systems concepts;
• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to confidently exercise independent judgments
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in use of computers and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management or a related field required.  Master’s degree, CPA, CFE or CIA preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years of forensic and compliance–related experience, preferably including experience in an anti-bribery and anti-corruption role in a “Big Four” or equivalent forensics consultancy and/ or multi-national corporate compliance setting.

  • Proven proficiency in conducting complex multi-jurisdictional compliance investigations.

  • Proven ability to work efficiently and proactively, prioritizing workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to provide guidance on key compliance subjects, issues and requirements.

• Fluent English level is a must
